If you have been playing ladder recently surely you noticed an increase in the amount of Hunter players, even the Tempostorm Meta Snapshot points the class a one of the strongest at the moment.
But I have some problems with the card choises that I've been facing on the laddder. People are trying to play a Mid-Range deck to beat aggro, and even with Deathstalker Rexxar to outvalue the control decks like Razakus Priest.
They put the Ol' Reliable Savannah Highmane as an auto-include, and it's really understable because is a pretty good card, but it slow the curve to a poit where the decks that you're trying to beat now has tools to answers your threats.
Other card thats has been turning a common choice is Bittertide Hydra, it's like some kind of a All-In bet, but isn't that contradictory with the Higmane inclusion and the overall deck purpose? isn't that a little over risky? Especially with good single target removal and AoE on the meta, Hydra becomes a big part of the time a 5-mana do nothing or even worse a 5-mana killyourself.
On this more agresive version of the deck, Argent Squire, Fire Fly and as always Alleycat makes your Dire Wolf Alpha so much better and provides you with some resielnt turn ones against early removal classes.
Bearshark is specially good against Razakus Priest and against other classes together with Houndmaster are some very effective face damage machine. On that point, Leeroy Jenkins and Kill Command are very obvious additions to a agressive deck because helps you to find that final hit.
I believe that the other cards doesn't requieres any explanation.
Any thoughts on replacing Argent Squire with Macaw for better synergy with razormaw/hyena?
Also, do you still think the crab is necessary post-nerf? I'm experimenting with replacing it with cat trick.
Thanks for the feedback, I understad your idea but to me Macaw seems to easy to remove, all the one drops in the list require two hits or at least 2 damage for being killed. And even if you want to increase the beast synergy I think that Fiery Bat, as an aggressive option fits a little more the goal of the deck. Although, the purpose or Argent Squier is make better the wolfes, if you want to do some changes to make better other of the two drops thats good too.
With tempo rogue on the meta Galokka is still a good tech, but Cat Trick sounds pretty good even x2.
Simple but effective :)
