Hi, This is an easy way to beat the Lich King warrior matchup that I completed on my first try. There's yet another exploit with Kel'Thuzad in solo adventure that allows you to force him to not play any cards or attack you while in his frostmourne phase.
You spend the first part of the game trading and trying to draw cards. When he drops the frostmourne, brawl when your board is empty so that only 1 trapped soul remains. From here, just try to armor up and keep yourself alive until you can play Kel'Thuzad + Public defender. He will only attack the defender with the minion, not the Frostmourne. Once your public defender is within death range from the minion, he will stop attacking it. From here, he just mills cards and does nothing every turn. Use this opportunity to draw into your win condition: Scaled Nightmare(s). When you are within lethal range with the Scaled Nightmare, hit your Kel'Thuzad into the last soul and hit the Nightmare into the face for lethal.
The best part about this deck is the versatility. There is no card you need other than public defender + scaled nightmare. You are able to replace the Scaled nightmare with a bunch of different late game High value minions if you don't have it.
I hope you all enjoy the deck and make sure to upvote it if you found it as easy as I did.
Edit: Thanks for the resounding support guys and as i said above, feel free to experiment with different early game cards or win conditions if you don't have Scaled Nightmares if you don't have the ones I have or if you have better ones.
Below you'll find a video of KiwiinBacon playing this deck perfectly. Make sure to check out his other content to see more great videos of cool and interesting decks being showcased.
gee guys well as long as he doesnt obl kelthuzad everytime is there a way too reason w the rng gods did u first tryers use vooo dooo or what!
As a casual, I tried for the last 3 days to get Arthas only with extremely budget decks. I could not find a satisfying one for the warrior, so I tried this on on a very low budget, without Brawl or Scaled Nightmare. Only had Kel'Thuzad, 2* Shade of Naxxramas and 1 Violet Illusionist with the 2 Public Defender. Got the job done. All you need is not to be stupid like i did the 2 first tries.
Thanks, good idea using Shade and Violet Illusionist
It takes forever to ramp up the attack though O.O
For those of you that don't have Scaled Nightmare, Gruul or Grimy Gadgeteer x2 or Shade of Naxxramas x2 + Faceless Manipulator x2 works wonders. Use Violet Illusionist or Dead Man's Hand x2 to avoid fatigue damage. Beware of the 90 turn limit!
Thanks for noting the specific Turn Limit number. A few days ago, someone posted here saying they had a 41/41 shade and a 38/38 one as well but then "imploded" :P
Yeah, that's the risk where one uses Shade of Naxx and drawing them late into the game, and then getting really close to the above-mentioned Turn Limit!
It doesn't work anymore. I just tried and he attacked the defender with the weapon and killed it.
I used this deck today (9/2/17) and it worked just fine.
All other warrior decks where useless. This worked like a charm. First try, thank you!
Would have had this first try as well, but I screwed up and ran another taunt minion out. Public Defender for defense and Kel'Thuzad for utility, that's all you need. Then, let those dragons grow big and strong.
adding turns before you drawn and played your first shade of naxxramas + (the growth of shades determined from 41/x-2/2 = 39 turns)
so z + 39 = y
where y = close to "turn limit"?
so the later you drew into your shade of naxx, the closer you hit "turn limit"? -sigh- sorry for the implosion effect

Replaced Scaled Nightmare with Stalagg and Feugen and used 2 Dead Man's Hand to avoid fatigue and recycle Shield Slam for Kel'Thuzad shenanigans. Not the most efficient strategy but it was fun and got the job done.
dude this worked like a charm!!! only took me 2 tries too, thank you!!
hurry up and use this exploit it still worked as of 8-29-17...who knows when blizz might fix...got it won 1st try
i don't have Scaled Nightmare so i use 2x Grimmy Gadgeteer to pimp my minions up and 1xViolet Illusionist to avoid fatigue damg (be aware that the game ends in DRAW if 45 turns are passed)
take a bit of time but managed to do it in 1 run
i don't have Scaled Nightmare so i use 2x Shade of naxxramas. I didn't use Violet Illusionist. It also took a while but I was also able to beat him 1st try. I had to beat him like 3 times with shade.
Its funny how i played now 10-15 Times without no brawl, no kelthuzad and no defender until turn 10.... just rigged game however and then i have kelthuzad... he instant kill him hahaha...
Nice easy win, thanks dawg
