Hi, This is an easy way to beat the Lich King warrior matchup that I completed on my first try. There's yet another exploit with Kel'Thuzad in solo adventure that allows you to force him to not play any cards or attack you while in his frostmourne phase.
You spend the first part of the game trading and trying to draw cards. When he drops the frostmourne, brawl when your board is empty so that only 1 trapped soul remains. From here, just try to armor up and keep yourself alive until you can play Kel'Thuzad + Public defender. He will only attack the defender with the minion, not the Frostmourne. Once your public defender is within death range from the minion, he will stop attacking it. From here, he just mills cards and does nothing every turn. Use this opportunity to draw into your win condition: Scaled Nightmare(s). When you are within lethal range with the Scaled Nightmare, hit your Kel'Thuzad into the last soul and hit the Nightmare into the face for lethal.
The best part about this deck is the versatility. There is no card you need other than public defender + scaled nightmare. You are able to replace the Scaled nightmare with a bunch of different late game High value minions if you don't have it.
I hope you all enjoy the deck and make sure to upvote it if you found it as easy as I did.
Edit: Thanks for the resounding support guys and as i said above, feel free to experiment with different early game cards or win conditions if you don't have Scaled Nightmares if you don't have the ones I have or if you have better ones.
Below you'll find a video of KiwiinBacon playing this deck perfectly. Make sure to check out his other content to see more great videos of cool and interesting decks being showcased.
too bad I just dusted all of my unused cards to make Valeera and Shadowcasters . . .
Yup, first try. gg
The Warrior decks that failed to beat the Lich King for me in order: quest, patron warrior, alarm-o-bot-with-huge-minions-warrior, and finally my own version of the alarm-o-bot deck. This deck got him first try! Thanks dude.
It took a few restarts to get the starting hand right, but i finally got it. I traded out 1 blood razer, 1 public defender and 1 acolyte, with a Dead mans hand for extra KT and shield maiden if needed, the lich king and Ysera. Took a long time to get my KT drawn, but once i did, it was awesome. I took a screenshot, however, it wont let me upload it from my phone for some reason. Ill post it once i get on the computer.
greatttt just when i dusted my kelthuzad. >.>
woah woah thats a whole lot of judging there. lol oh wells
Calm down Cheeto tits, you're starting to sweat.
Keep crying, little moronic disenchanter.
Thank you, Blootwo, I got him! :) I hadn't watched Fur0's video when I tried this deck the other night, so I didn't understand the mechanics of how it worked; now I do. I prefer Fur0's video to kiwiinbacon's as Fur0 uses Scaled Nightmare.
I crafted Scaled Nightmare for this encounter and it was well worth it! I was missing Shield Slam and substituted Slam, which worked well for removal and/or card draw.
Works great! Glad to have this one behind me.
Wow, first try!
I had Kel'Thuzad out with two Public Defender. Lich King and his minions killed both Public Defender and then killed Kel'Thuzad.
You need to brawl first so that the Lich King only has one trapped soul left. Won't work if he has multiple minions.
I did Brawl on one of the turns prior to playing Kel'Thuzad and one Public Defender, then put a second Public Defender down on the next turn.
Then how did he have enough minions to kill two Public Defenders and Kel'Thuzad in one turn?
I don't remember the exact order; it was late the other night and it is late now. I don't remember how many turns it was between playing Brawl and the others. I remember being surprised that Kel'Thuzad had died, since there were two taunt minions up.
Thanks, MeroveusHS; I got him! I hadn't watched the video (was in a hurry the other night). I understand the mechanic now; thanks again.
2nd try. The first was going fine until KT was literally the last card left in the deck. RNG never forgives.
Great cheese for this dumb encounter, you might also want to add in a Rafaam to use the buff to ramp up the dragon a little quicker.
