MULLIGAN
WITHOUT COIN--GOING FIRST
-You need to get 1-drops, search for them. Keep everytime Kindly Grandmother . Keep Scavenging Hyena or Crackling Razormaw if you already have a 1-drop at mulligan.
WITH COIN--GOING SECOND
-You need to get 1-drops as always, but in this case hold on 2-drops too. If you have a 1-drop already, you can easily hold Eaglehorn Bow or Animal Companion so that you can coin them at turn 2. This is more complicated and has to do about what matchup do you face. I would keep them surely versus Priest-Shaman-Hunter, because they need to get board ealy and these cards are high value cards for the mana payment.
SOME COMBOES-TIPS
If you have plenty of 1-drops to start, don't play Jeweled Macaw . Choose something else, cause Jeweled can be useful later on with the card it gives and can fill a turn where you would just hero power, plus it is the most weak statwise.
Alleycat can work pretty good with Nesting Roc on turn 6.
If you got a good early hand already, like 1-drop and 2-drop, and you face warrior, mind keeping Savannah Highmane because most people play taunt warrior with the new quest and Savannah is the ultimate win condition in that matchup.
Why you playing it in Wild you silly whopper
Could Dinomancy or/and Stampede slot anywhere into this deck? If so what could be removed?
Dinomancy is a card i m clearly not fan of.I think it sucks, cause replacing rexxars hero power is a lit bit crazy. Stampede is another story, really cool card but not for this deck. I experimented a lot with hunter and i can say Stampede is about to be played in quest hunter. There it shines more than anything and has synergy. In this deck it s just too slow and has much potential of row-rolling. Question is, do i think quest hunter is good or better than this deck? Definetily nope in both cases.
is -1 Unleash the Hounds for +1 Vicious Fledgling ok?
It will make the deck worse mate. I dont like vicious fledgling as a card at all. I think the only class who can play it is druid cause he got innervate-ramp.
I played this deck for a while, and I have to say that it's probably the best hunter deck to rank up with at the moment.
This is a video showcasing the deck which I hope you guys enjoy!
I'm wondering, how would Bittertide Hydra fair instead of Nesting Roc? How valuable are the Rocs?
Have you considered replacing Hunter's Mark or at least one of it for Deadly Shot?
Mark is better in this deck cause u got early board control like always, and it curves better.
How about carrion grub?
being a control player ever since i started hearthstone i hated aggro decks specially hunters, with level of cancer on ladder right now i couldnt deal with it no more so i decided to lets become the cancer dusted all of 2 or 3 classes cards and crafted this deck and omg im loving it!!! 5 win streak so far...they say it correctly when they say cant beat the cancer become the cancer.
Why does this deck not run the hunter quest? It should have an easy time playing it, I don't really understand why you couldn't drop any one of the 4+ mana cost cards for it just for extra finishing stability.
Two words: too slow. This deck stomps on any quest hunter decks and can kill them before turn 6
yeah, playing 7 1 drops takes a lot of turns, even when things like macaw hit extra one drops and you get tol'vir warden you're still probably not finishing it earlier than turn 7 or so. This pulls quest hunter towards control, for instance with a more elemental build, but in those decks losing your first turn and a card in your starting hand really puts you quite far behind. Its fun to theorycraft with, sure, but it doesnt really feel succesful jumping trough so many hoops.
Hi there ,
i love the deck and I am very happy that hunter is back in the game! I have had a good experience with this deck 25-9 rank. But now I am stuck.
i have been playing hunter since I started ( I never really tried to climb the ladder) but I have a golden Hunter. Anyway, so far I fare well against almost every deck but I cent seem to beat Shamans and I have a hard time with Silence priests.
I have noticed that Rogues are basically beaten if you have a good starting hand and same goes for the pesky taun/pirate warriors. Other than that I very good deck. Any advice against shaman ?
I assume your doing somthing wrong i've taken this deck from Rank 5 to rank 3 with a 70% win ratio, didnt even drop a game in rank 4
Nesting Roc is basically an insta-win against other aggro decks like pirate warrior
Absolutely fantastic!
Such a good deck. I pushed from rank 10 to 5 with sick win streaks. The only modification I made to this deck was -1 Hunter's Mark and +1 Golakka Crawler. Some rank 5 Pirate warriors even insta conceded when they got to face Hunter.
they were probably too lazy to play LOL.. you dont lose stars at rank 5 anyway :p
