Thought I would theorycraft what a control shaman elemental deck might look like once Un'goro is released.
This deck will be standard legal (no drakes).
Also note the Fire Elemental and Unbound Elemental will have the elemental tag once Un'goro comes out.
It's unclear if this is actually better than Jade Shaman. At this point it doesn't feel like it, but not all the cards have been released. This might have better early game since Trogg and Golem are leaving standard.
There is a 99.9% this deck will change before release since we haven't seen all the cards, but if I was making a shaman elemental deck with the information we have now, this is how I would make it.
Once interesting thing about elementals in shaman is they have weird synergy with overload cards in that you want to play them the following turn to get battlecry bonuses but overload can seriously hinder that. Because of this, Ozruk might not be the best choice for this deck but something like Earth Elemental might be worth running instead (they have terrible synergy so I wouldn't run both in the same deck).
Nifty ideas. I like the deck in general (as we all do with pretty much every new unreleased experimenting deck) :)
My initial thoughts tho is that this deck lacks a staple 2-drop.
Depending on the number of weapon classes we will see in the next meta it might be a good idea to include Acidic Swamp Ooze?
Great point about the 2 drop. There frankly isn't much to choose from right now with LOE and TGT leaving. I took your suggestion. I also made some other changes in light of the latest reveals. I think Tol'vir Stoneshaper and Servant of Kalimos fit into this deck nicely. I cut Ala'kir because I just don't have room.
Another thought popped into my head; i'm of the impression that when un'goro drops - some people will still play pirate warrior to punish experimental-decks. And because of this - Golakka Crawler might be an idea?
