Updated with some KFT cards I own (Sep 12th). I only have 1 Obsidian Statue and 1 Eternal Servitude. I got rid of both Onyx Bishops and the Potion of Madness I was running.
I only run 1x Pint Sized Potion and 1x Shadow Madness since because this is Wild, Excavated Evil tends to work better as a board clear and doesn't rely on a 2-card combo.
Well I originally made this deck so as not to complete a play minions 2 or less quest. But it turned out to be my best deck (rank 10 during the 2 win winstreak bug). I don't have Auchenai Soulpriests but I did open Y'Shaarj, Confessor P from packs, and my first crafts were Sylv and Rags so give it a go!
Tips: Had 100% winrate yesterday vs. Hunters, Priest of the Feast is more useful first play than Injured Blademaster.
Struggles against Shamen, save your Shadow Word: Pain for Thunderpants Valiants if you can. Shadow Word: Death Thing from Below.
Entombing Azure Drakes can be useful since 4 attack minions are a pain for Priest. But if you anticipate bigger threats and can survive save them.
Mind Controlling a C'Thun works well ;)
Entomb Reno Jackson against the Reno Mages which seem to be everywhere these days. Save Shadow Word: Pain for Flamewakers, don't waste it on Mana Wyrms (Shadow Madness those works a treat).
Seems to do well against control warriors. EDIT: Try not to play more than a couple of minions at once, play around the brawls.
Most other matchups are 50-50.
Now this is wild only I added Kel'Thuzad for extra fun.
Midrange/Control shaman (totem / overload / spell damage version) is not a problem for this deck. But Jade Shaman is. Actually, Jade Idol is a pain for any control deck.
I think Potion of Madness does more harm than good. It ruins your resurrection, especially in early game when you have only 1~2 minions to resurrect.
Potion of Madness early on is for emergencies only. Best use is comboing with Pint-Sized Potion (and a Shadow Word if you still can't kill anything after attacking). However, it's very useful to Potion of Madness a Mana Wyrm or Flamewaker, for example, since there are so many spells in the deck (Flamewaker also triggers after you cast it!)
EDIT: Original post was when Midrange Shaman with Thunderbluff valiants ruled the meta, before Jade. And secret hunters (which this deck does well against too)
EDIT2: Feel free to replace it with another Holy Smite though.
EDIT3: Potion of Madness on a Loot Hoarder/Bloodmage Thalnos/Acolyte of Pain gets good value though. I used to have 2 Shadow Madness in the deck but replaced them with the Potion of Madness/Pint Sized Potion instead, Shadow Madness was good to steal Sorceror's Apprentices, but it was too expensive.
I'm thinking about subbing one of the Shadow Madnesses for an Arcane Giant since that's also a decent pull from Barnes. Shadow Madness is good though to suicide their good low attack drops to maybe resurrect later.
