NEW! --> Jade Control Shaman! http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/699861-msofg-control-jade-shaman
Control decks are not dead! If you guys want a guide / mulligan etc I will add it.
Update: Removed Mana Tide Totem because the deck has a lot of draw power and added a card for late game Arch-Thief Rafaam, even though that he is not a good combo with Barnes and Ancestral Spirit but the Artifacts are really powerful.
Update 2: Arch-Thief Rafaam didn't feel useful in most matches, only in fatigue games which are extremely rare in this meta, added Emperor Thaurissan instead.
Update 3: Mulligan Guide!! + Combos
1) VS Aggro / Mid-range always keep 1 copy of:
Spirit Claws , Maelstrom Portal and Lightning Storm
2) VS Control always keep:
Hex , Barnes , Emperor Thaurissan
3) Card combos to keep:
- VS Aggro / Mid-range:
Bloodmage Thalnos + Spirit Claws
Bloodmage Thalnos + Maelstrom Portal
Spirit Claws + Maelstrom Portal
- VS Control:
Barnes + Ancestral Spirit, cast it on the 1/1 minion on turn 6 or turn 5 with coin (going second).
Elemental Destruction + Lava Shock
Really cool deck man but why no more Faceless Manipulator ?
In this current meta, depending on the faceless combo alone will make you lose games. Shamans play hex now and mages run polymorphs, so the combo most of the time will be a waste of resources and a loss of tempo.
Yeah, I was inspired to create a similar deck on seeing the control shaman thread, I call mine slam, it has more aggressive early game minions (2 flamewreathed, and 2 corrupted healbots. as well as a finisher with N'zoth... the idea is to keep the board clear and just keep slamming high value minions untill they run out of answers. In order to make room for even more high value minions I dropped lava shock... usually it's not an issue.
There are some other differences... I only have 10 spells.
Nice concept, but aren't the healbots counter productive to the aggressive early game? its +16 health to your opponent unless you silence them somehow.
Really like the deck. Seemed to be able to play against mid-range shaman decently well, and definitely counters yogg-druid hard (9-1 so far)
I really love sylvanas and was wondering what could I replace to get her in here.. If you don't think it would work thats fine. I'm just curious
ok cool, thx
how has this done for you on ladder? I'm messing around at rank 9 with a similar deck (no earth ele, only 1x ele destruction - added ysera and 2x farsight)
okay gotcha. yeah not super competitive but i really like trying to make it work
Its not broken, but it has no bad match-ups as far as I played. Its competitive, just like fatigue shaman decks that were popular last month.
