Hi I’m Sorte, and I’m an 8x Legend Player, and I recently got rank 1 Legend on EU with this deck.
It’s a pretty standard ramp druid deck, but since it performed so well for me I figured that I would like to share it with you guys :)
Game plan:
Against aggro/midrange-decks, you want to ramp up as fast as possible, and force your opponent to throw all their resources at your big taunts. You will usually be able to out value them, but their early game will always be stronger. Therefore, if you survive that early game, you should be in a very good shape.
Against control-decks, you ideally just want to sit tight on 2-3 minions, and try to bait out AOE removals e.g. Brawl and Twisting Nether. Once those are gone, you just play all your stuff. You can also try to bait out single target removal with cards like Fandral Staghelmand Druid of the Claw, but you should have more big threats than they have removal options, so that isn’t really the main priority.
Mulligan:
Always keep Innervate, Wild Growth, Darnassus Aspirant and Mire Keeper.
Warrior: Innervate, Wild Growth, Darnassus Aspirant and Mire Keeper.
Shaman: Innervate, Wild Growth, Darnassus Aspirant, Mire Keeper, Living Roots, Wrath and Mulch (since you’re pretty much fucked if they play dr. 4.)
Rouge: Innervate, Wild Growth, Darnassus Aspirant, Mire Keeper and (Living Roots).
Paladin: Innervate, Wild Growth, Darnassus Aspirant, Mire Keeper and Living Roots.
Hunter: Innervate, Wild Growth, Darnassus Aspirant, Mire Keeper, Living Roots and (Wrath).
Druid: Innervate, Wild Growth, Darnassus Aspirant and Mire Keeper.
Warlock: Innervate, Wild Growth, Darnassus Aspirant, Mire Keeper, Living Roots, Wrath and Swipe (keep Swipe unless your opponent only keeps 1 or 0 cards).
Mage: Innervate, Wild Growth, Darnassus Aspirant, Mire Keeper, Living Roots andWrath.
Priest: Innervate, Wild Growth, Darnassus Aspirant, Mire Keeper and (Living Roots).
How to utilize the full potential of Raven Idol:
The use of Raven Idol is key to your success with this deck. Normally I say that in the early game you want to get spells, and in the mid- to late game you want to get minions. However, as a good rule of thumb you should always look at the current situation and think: “Is there any spell that would help me out here?” and if there is you should probably try to discover it. With that being said, I think it is worth noting that you should not try to discover Nourish (for card draw), unless you have no other outs. You will usually end up with some low value spell, so therefore it is much better to go for a big value minion instead. Also, DO NOT KEEP Raven Idol IN YOUR STARTINGHAND!
Yogg:
Why Yogg in this deck? Well, Yogg is often a board clear and card draw, which are both a struggle for druid in general. Since there are quite a few spells in the deck it makes perfect sense to fit in Yogg.
I hope you guys like the deck and the short guide - if it gets enough up votes, I’ll make a more in-depth-guide on how to play the different matchups. Please let me know what you think in the comments, it means a lot to me!
Hey Mate,
any update including Karazhan?
Barnes etc should be worth considering !
Best Regards
My new favorite deck to play i love you went from rank 20 to 17 with only 2 losses :3
I find it funny how every single one of the decks are named after porn stars......... in the picture
Mmmmm Peta
Just thought I'd drop a note saying I reached legend with this deck this morning, so it's definitely viable. Thanks for posting!
A very good deck. Crafted Fandral just for this and he's been a blast. Jumped from 12 to 8 in no time at all.
Great deck, but i'm 0/3 against C'Thun Warriors. How do you deal with them?
This deck is awesome love it i won a game thanks to yogg #praise yogg
Out of curiosity, is lack of healing in this deck ever a problem?
So I'm back, just wanted to say thanks for the list with the few tweaks I hit top 200 legend :). Maybe you'll respond now
so new season more aggro results have slid to 50% do not recommend below 10
is fandral staghelm a must have for this deck? if not, any replacements?
using harrison now instead of fandral, works really well (especially since this deck has almost no draw)
I think [card]Fandral Staghelm[/card] is a must have for the deck and since it's so unique it cannot be replaced. I made a few changes to the deck and just like that I powered through rank 13 to rank 5 in a day. Just focus on ramping up quickly so you can put down the big stuff and you win, I do agree with you on the draw problem so here are my changes after researching a little bit.
-Bloodmage Thalnos × 1 -Darnassus Aspirant [/card]× 1 +[card]Doomsayer +[card]Nourish[/card]
Well then, this is to the author what do you think about my changes and based on my matchups what tech cards / tips do you suggest I start adopting to hit legend?
Replacement for Ancient of War ?
bog creeper is the best replacement imo
Yo. I like this deck and it can be fun but I'm having trouble advancing. Shaman also gives me trouble but they are pretty darn strong right now. Anyway, I've had some hilarious Yogg's. Had an epic game where we both ran out of cards and I played Yogg. Lost the game but it was fun regardless.
So, I'm doing a little better with this deck. I removed: one Living Roots, one Raven Idol. Added: one Ironbark Protector, one Starfall.
Also replaced Sylvanas Windrunner with Cairne Bloodhoof because I find opponents have to use a lot of removal on Cairne which helps keep your large minions on the board late game. Same reason for adding Ironbark.
I love this deck but I'm having a really hard time against shamans, also I don't have Mulch and Ragnaros and replaced them with Baron Geddon and Harrison Jones. I'ts my first time playing Ramp Druid ever and I would like some tips :D (Also Yogg is too mean to me but I love playing it)
