Last update, from rank 5.0 to Legend this decklist went 31-6.

Performance update, from rank 5.0 to 2.4 this decklist is 20-1.
---------------
Basically just the highest value for mana cards that Shaman has to offer, plus a couple Azure Drakes.
I won 15 games in a row with this deck from rank 6 to 3.4 so I wanted to jot it down.
The only relatively poor value-for-mana card in the deck is 2x feral spirits, but putting two taunts on the board at the same time is extremely strong not just to protect important minions but also to stall until your board swings from Lightning Storm, Thing From Below and Fire Elemental.
The deck loses to hard aggro but there has been very little of that from rank 5 to 3.
Mistcaller seems to help a lot against control decks.
One advantage of the deck is that it doesn't need bombs to prevent from running out of steam, which means hard removal never gets really high value. The biggest thing a deadly shot or sw:death or hex will hit is a Fire Elemental.
I recently took this list to legend with a very high winrate as well. Thanks for posting. I had to make 2 changes at rank 2 to adapt to the faster meta at that rank:
-1x Master of Evolution
-1x Azure Drake
+1x Argent Squire
+1x Flame Juggler
No other changes made.
I'm sorry but i took this deck and made it into a C'tun Emperor deck and have had amazing succes with it. Curve is a tad higher but unless you get fucked on your 2 draw you can win against most any deck.
Basicly I took out 1x Feral Spirit and 1x Fire Elemental and both Lightning Bolt to be replaced with 2x Beckoner of Evil and 2x C'tun's Chosen. While overall little higher curse they have high value in almost any situation also against aggro. Less overload for better or for worse.
And with that said The Mistcaller went out the door in favour of Twin Emperor Vek'lor. I cannot stress the value of this card and how many time it's won games vs aggro or survive the extra round to avoid combo finishers not to mention the fucking evolve potential.
But yeah fucking great deck I just changed it to a Vek'lor value town instead.
Do you thinkCorrupted Healbot would be a good replacement for Al Akir?
Other choices i'm considering would be Ragnaros the Firelord,Hammer of Twilight,Validated Doomsayer, or Chrommaggus
Great deck! A couple of questions:
If you're trying to maximize value per mana cost, why not include Flamewreathed Faceless?
And, doesn't Master of Evolution work against Mistcaller? One game against Control Warrior I got an early Mistcaller out, then found it hard to find the opportunities to get clear value through evolving my board.
Flamewreathed Faceless is an excellent tempo card but in terms of value per mana it's a 6-mana 7/7. That's still above average for a 6-drop, but it is not top tier like Fire Elemental, Sylvanas, Cairne, Savannah Highmane, Faceless Summoner, Emperor.
One issue I have with FF is that the value is very low if removed efficiently (hex, PO, abusive sergeant + weenies, sap, deadly shot, sw:death), if I used it, it would become the largest minion in the deck.
Master of Evolution I haven't yet found to have anti-synergy with Mistcaller. You probably don't want to evolve a full health minion that has +1/+1, but if it is that late in the game you could likely target a totem.
I've heard someone suggest Brann Bronzebeard. The Mistcaller is pretty unique. You could run a Mukla's Champion, although it's not as strong dropping it proactively on an empty board. I'd say the best substitute might actually be Elise Starseeker as far as a card you can drop on curve that will help you beat control.
Not nearly as good a ratio as you, but sitting at 70% out of 20 games at rank 9-7.
