The heroic mode of Rafaam Unleashed is maybe the hardest boss I've ever fight against. After you defeated all of the bosses of League of Explorers you don't want to meet with them again especially if they are a 10/10 cards. 

After I tried so many decks wiht my friend's help I could defeat Rafaam and get the LoE cardback. Rafaam's hero power has two component: you can damage him every three turn only and he summon one of the LoE bosses which is a 10/10 card (and passively the card gets the hero power of the boss). You have many tools to avoid the huge damage to your face. Use Shadow Word: Death and Entomb (or even Sylvanas Windrunner but make sure Rafaam hasn't any other minions otherwise there is a chance to take control other minions). I suggest to put in your deck two Jeweled Scarabs as well because you can get two other Shadow Word: Deathes. Rafaam has his artifacts as well, two of all artifacts. Excavated Evil is a perfect card against zombies (and if you are lucky you get from your hero power Lothar's Left Greave which deals 3 damage to all enemy character). If Rafaam buffs his minion with Lantern of Power use Mind Control. It forces to attack him, use his Entombs, Keeper of Uldamans or Twisting Nether (He has only one TN). He has other small minions like Keeper of Uldaman and Fierce Monkey, kill them with Shadow Word: Pain. With Mind Vision you can get some good buffes or minions (if you aren't so lucky you can get The Coin as well so be careful and lucky)

As I've written Rafaam is extremely hard. Don't give up if you lose so many matches. Be strong because you can beat him.
