If you would like to ask me any questions directly and live or be one step ahead of the meta check out my stream at http://www.twitch.tv/sigmasrb at 6 PM CEST almost every day and follow the feeds on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sigmasrb) or Twitter (https://twitter.com/sigmasrb) for all news! I will try to stream at this time in between 3-5 days a week where I will be playing all of my decks posted here plus some other ones.
Hey guys, Sigma here! First off, sorry for taking so long to upload a deck since the new expansion came out, I've been working on my analysis of the top 10 cards which you can find here: http://goo.gl/MakktM. The second reason is that I really wanted to playtest the decks and make sure that they are good before posting any that would more go into theorycrafting than them being an actual, working deck.
So, without further ado, I present to you my Dreamrattle Paladin, which is a mix of a dragon paladin with a pinch of old Gods, in this case, the almighty N'Zoth, the Corruptor. The deck is working similar to the N'Zoth paladin that is quite present in the meta right now, but is relying on assembling your board presence early on with minions like Faerie Dragon and Blackwing Technician, reinforcing it with strong mid game with the help of Twilight Guardian, Dragon Consort and the high impact Blackwing Corruptor, all while controlling the onslaught of big enemy minions like Flamewreathed Faceless with Aldor Peacekeepers and Keeper of Uldaman and topping it off with the strong deathrattle minions like Sylvanas Windrunner or Tirion Fordring. As nobody will expect a dragon paladin in the first place, N'Zoth will definitely come as a surprise for your opponent. (I've had warriors use both brawls before I drop N'Zoth, simply because they don't expect him).
The A Light in the Darkness always throws people off and confuses them and I see it as as potentially amazing card, as I've gotten Ragnaros, Lightlord out of it more than 5 times and also the cards like Keeper of Uldaman and Aldor Peacekeeper are seen quite commonly as the chances are 4:1 that you will get a paladin minion. 9/9 Ragnaros ftw. Here are some of the screenshots of why this deck rules:
3/6 taunt with divine shield on turn 4? Who doesn't want something like this?
C'Thun decks are as good as won. The 2/3 taunt I got from the A Light in the Darkness.
9/9 Ragnaros PogChamp

I have a lot more amazing screenshots but these are some of them. I've managed to get a lot of amazing things from the A Light in the Darkness, but I believe two copies might be too much. Just go try out the deck and steer away from the meta that is practically already formed! It's time for dragons! The Mulligan, Strategy, Card Replacements and maybe Match-ups (if the meta forms until then) will be available to you guys here pretty soon! Only thing you gotta do is to show the love!
FAQ
Would Deathwing, Dragonlord be a good fit in the deck?
I personally would say no. The reason is that the dragons are usually used for tempo plays here and for the card draw so if you have more than 2 dragons in your hand by the time Deathwing should be dying, something wrong happened. Besides that I've heard that Deathwings Deathrattle is almost never triggered, as the opponent will probably just ignore it and try to kill you. Deathwing might fit a little bit better in the dragon priest as they have the more controlish aspect to them than the paladin, and especially this one, who relies on tempo early game.
2. What are the replacements for ______?
The replacements will be included with the entire guide which will come out in a day or two. I am really sorry this is so late but I've been busy making a video for this deck and the video for a rogue that has The Ancient One played.
Finally, a big thank you to my first patron, Bearmec! If you would also want to help out by becoming a patron and getting some really amazing perks that you can use on my stream, you can do so at www.patreon.com/sigmasrb!
Cheers for checking out yet another Sigma's deck and as always, the constructive criticism and any suggestions to improve the deck are warmly accepted! See you on the stream!
Cheers,
Sigma
Took the deck for a quick 3-game test drive tonight, and it was a fun change. The results were:
Glad you're getting good results with it! How's it going now?
Had no time to play all weekend. I'm still learning the deck (and the new meta), but it's going alright. 50-50 at lunch today...
Some thoughts:
The problem with LoH is that you do nothing 3 that turn to advance your board state. Without equality the deck needs to play a tempo game with corruptors and sylvanas allowing for a bit of swing play.
My problem with the deck is there is not enough 1-3 drops to consistently contest the early game.
I saw all those Golden cards and I'm in tears now.
It's actually a very close list to what I run right now, so looks good! :)
I love paladin and wanted to get into nzoth pally of some sort. Saw this earlier today and had to make it. Currently 5-1, only lost to a nzoth rogue who shadowcasted his nzoth while I unfortunately never saw mine. +1 for sure!
At what rank? W/L stats aren't that useful without context.
Glad you're getting good results! Can you provide more info?
I honestly don't think I'm good enough to play this deck. I dropped from rank 8 to 9 with this. These uber slow decks just give me more opportunities to make a mistake. Not the decks fault. Would love some more details. I have a zillion questions.
1-4 with this. If you use Equality at wrong time, you have no way to remove your opponents difficult minions. I just lost to a tempo warrior cause there was fuck all I could do about his Ysera. He then used Ysera's Awakening to smash my board and kill Tyrion. So, yeah, lost to fatigue warrior, freeze mage, bloodlust shaman, and tempo warrior.
I played poorly against the fatigue warrior (was my first game trying this). Wasn't sure about the pace that I should be playing out my threats. I was very tentative worrying about Brawl, execute, etc. Ended up with Ysera rotting in my hand. Freeze mage if you don't have healing for post Alex turn, not much you can do.
I'm no great player, but am competent. I usually finish each season around rank 4 or 5. Not sure if the problem was my play, the deck, or just unlucky match-ups. Seems to me the more standard Nzoth pally is the more consistent deck.
Maybe you need to drop by the stream then and see me play it! :) When you drop equality is pretty important. Ask your questions and I will try to answer them. Either here or on my stream.
In an aggro filled Meta this deck gets crushed. 1-4, stopped testing it after that.
Check the video out where I crushed zoo and shaman :) I also believe that you can't really judge a deck based on 5 games, but hey, that's just me :)
Some of the moves you can pull off with N'Zoth in this deck are insane. Like, turn 7, Chillmaw. Turn 8, Tirion. Turn 9, Ysera. Now, he has to kill some pretty rough taunts to get through, so you probably have Ysera for a couple turns. And sometimes you get Dream from that. Even if he clears the board, that Turn 10 N'Zoth is going to bring back those two big 6/6 taunts again, and if he's able to kill those but not to kill the N'Zoth, you can Dream it back to hand and play it again and get four 6/6 taunts. Instant win even against a Reno.
So yeah, it deals with board clears real, real well, but you do have to control that early board, so it's very reliant on draw. You need those dragon-in-hand buffed cards early. Without them, you can't last long enough to secure the victory against aggro. But all your late game is pretty much a solid win if you can get there and if you can draw the cards you need. Use Brann with the Drakes if you're card shy. Brann + Consort + Drake is a solid turn 9 play.
Couldn't have said it better myself! Glad you are enjoying the deck man.
I don't even need to try this deck to know it will suck in actual ranked matches. No reliable board clear? lmao. Gonna get run down so hard by aggro.
two consecration +chillmaw+ forbidden+healing rag healing to keep yourself alive. This deck has enough to contest the board early and then put down big minion after big minion until you win. You won't consistently get beat by aggro unless you play it wrong.
O'rly? Maybe you should actually try to play it before making such hasty judgements. My VoD from today proves otherwise. https://www.twitch.tv/sigmasrb/v/64908736
