I have no clue if this will be viable but it definitely looks fun and like it's worth trying, I'm gonna give it a try once the set is released.
When GvG first released, I tried doing Anima Golems (without using Egg/Shades) but just with potential silence instead of silencing my own Ancient Watcher, I beat the Fel Cannon MechLock vs. my Anima Handlock. And also at the time, your standard silencing is always onto Tirion, Ysera, and Ancient of War.
This deck compilation is really heavy. Your doomsayers is like a fake taunt but you also hope that your opponent does not have board presence, so your Doomsayers are literally having "the SKIP TURN card like in UNO".
1 Twisting Nether make sense to avoid having the need to toss your whole hand from the use of Deathwing. But your problem will come down to reaching Coin Turn7 Twisting Nether, or would you rather Molten Shadowflame (AND if your opponent put you at "the Molten Threshold" with a HUGE BOARD ready to BURST you with like 5 to 7 minions... then Shadowflame a Sea Giant makes more sense for " a cheaper Double-the-Power-Flamestrike " with your HP still being high.
The highlight of your Theorycraft still revolves around Voidcaller into Dread Infernal or Anima Golem sticking with the un-popped Nerubian Egg is your biggest swing of the game for this deck I feel, more-so than the actual "AOE Warlock".
To Animaker, for his version of theorycraft, the cheap acceleration is Voidcaller but it gets silenced just like Nerubian Eggs would, and in Demon Handlock, the acceleration comes from Voidcaller into Mal'Ganis at Turn4 or Turn5, so Voidcaller is important vs. Brawl if the deck is fully-comprised of Demons anyways.
As for 1 Shadowbolt (the oldschool way has been popping up again), more and more Warlock decide that 1 consistent 4 damage is important to hit the Frothing Berserker at 100% accuracy than the RNG Implosion unless you have a Knife Juggler to "help out the RNG" but that can fail as well against Patrons/the Lone Frothing.
I didn't talk about the integrity of the name but the "effect" won't reach there. It's almost like naming "Explosive/Explosion Mage" doesn't really mean a Mage that keeps cycling Spells for "Infinite Combo/Damage" when it's not "Board Explosive". So, that's that about that.
I am not actually criticizing the name, I just think the Voidcallers play more role here more than until you reach "the late game" like any "SMOrc" players would tell you, "AOE" effect based on, for example, Twisting Nether and Deathwing won't even have a chance for the "name of the deck". In addition, the idea of Doomsayer is awesome but without "Frost Nova" that's say that your opponent has no creatures to easily trade in or it's totally empty board and you just play "Buy a Free Turn", the only things close to AOE-Explosive are Explosive Sheep + Abomination, which is perfectly suiting to the OP's deckname (I have no doubt about that).
Animaker, as for your example given play is not even close to "AOE"-fitting if you're going for that Baron Rivendare Rattle Trigger Advantage. And I didn't discuss anything about "removing Dreadsteed", nor Baron Rivendare itself.
You're adding it to talk about something I didn't say. But, I appreciate you telling me something I know when I see Baron Rivendare, there was that "Limitless Shaman" with Ancestral Spirit/Reincarnate Nerubian Eggs, Kel'Thuzad, Baron Rivendare... and whatever else you want if you can reach to that Late-Game or the right hand and/or draws.
Yeah I also didn't mean to sound like I'm stuck-up to my explanations. I am definitely not a high rank player but I am just being detailed and/or analytical.
The Shadowbolt shows its potential to pick-off priority targets like Warsong Commander / Frothing Berserker / or any priority 4 HP creatures if you have nothing board-trade wise.
BGH / Siphon Soul
BGH is always nice vs. incoming TGT Late-Game cards that are 7+ attack or more but at Late-Game is where OP's Twisting Nether and Deathwing play their parts.
Either of those two cards: is quite a counter to not need to discard your whole hand or your whole board via "the AOE theme/theorycraft". And what I mean is somewhat relative. What I mean is like people would limit their board small, just like exactly 3 minions to counter the chance of Mind Control Tech (MCT). Would you want to have a "dead card " BGH in hand.. versus Mid-range and under like any Zoo or flooding of board variation decks....
Siphon Soul is alright but most people would say that it's too heavy that eats up your whole turn and present no board presence. And by which, your Anima Golem and/or Nerubian Egg or even a really hurt Baron Rivendare, the Anima Golem or Dread Infernal should be able to do a more valuable trade, unless you're meeting against people who play cards like Ysera or any creature at more than 10 HP against an "explosive deck". But BGH is no longer a "tech card" because of the abundance of Dr. Boom in almost every deck.
I'm just presenting what possible answers would be, but they are both situational cards, just like switching 1 card for Kezan Mystic, or The Black Knight to clear Ancient of War if you do not have Silence cards like Ironbeak Owls/Spellbreakers which is above 2 Attack Power to stay more comfortable against that Patron deck but again Spellbreaker cost more than Owl.
Another question to ask is: And then also, where would we fit Harrison Jones and/or the Cheapness of Acidic Swamp Ooze for Patron matchup, or against the weapon classes.
