Who said Priest was a wimp? A thief? A slow Motherfucker?
Having just won my Golden priest, i wanted a change of pace. Faster, Stupider, FACER! Also, one of my friend dared me to play Shadowbomber in Ranked... So i built a stupid deck around this useless piece of crap and for some unknown reason i've been winning a lot with it.
Everyone is surprised. You know why? Because no one expect the MOTHERFUCKING FACE PRIEST! Normal people mulligan to play against control priest. But when they get downed from 16 to 0hp turn 6 with the dreaded Double Mind Blast and Double Shadowbomber "combo", they crumble and hide in denial.
This deck is pretty simple :
- Mulligan for Leper Gnome, Worgen Infiltrator and Shadowbomber since they're really good source of early damage for 1 mana. Abusive sergeant is good to play turn 1 only if you're the first to play or if your opponent isn't Mage, Druid or Rogue.
- Forget all you know. Don't use Power Word: Shield to trade, but only to draw or to get your minion to survive your opponent turn. Don't be afraid of using it on enemy's minion if you don't have any.
- The only kind of trading the Face Priest does, is when he use his Shadow Word: Pain or Holy Smite on ''big threats'' such as Knife Juggler
- If you're healing things (including yourself) then you probably doing something wrong or have already lost. You should always prioritize playing a minion or using face spell instead of healing.
- If you have a lot of cards in your hand, always play charging minions first and keep spell for the next turn in case he use a taunt. If he does, you'll be happy to see your lethal face damage floating over his taunt wall, hitting face for a deadly finish.
Then you go face with all your might.
Manage your mana to deal the most damage within your turn and the next one in mind.
Example : You got 5 mana, you've allready Shadowformed and you've only got a Wolfrider and a Bluegill Warrior in your hand. Use the Wolfrider with your Hero Power Mind Spike since you have no more card to play next turn anyway. Unless your opponent have no board which is unlikely.

Q/A
Q: WHY DO YOU PLAY WITH A Shadow Madness ?
A: What's the best answer to a Sludge Belcher that is stopping your charging minions from hitting face? EASY! Subdue the puke machine and hit the face of his own master with it! Great Sucess!
EDIT: I removed Shadow Madness from the deck, i had great win with it but it seems kinda situational and all. Try it yourself ! It's a fun card and nothing beats winning with someone else minions!
Q: DO YOU USE Holy Smite TO HIT FACE?
A: I use everything on face unless a obvious trade is better (Knife Juggler, Whirling Zap-o-matic or Cult Master)
Q: WHY DID I LOSE? WHAT DID I DO WRONG?
A: This is not a 100% win rate deck and a simple Healbot or taunt can ruin your game. A very bad draw early can be devastating (if you get Leeroy Jenkins, Shadow Madness and Shadowform in your starting end it's pretty much GG)
Q: WHY DON'T YOU USE *RANDOM CARD* OR *TECH CARD* IN YOUR DECK?
A: I tried half of those recommendations and the other half is simply too slow. A lot of people ended up adding me after a game to know my decklist and they almost always ended up changing a few cards. One dude went from rank 12 to 5 in a day with a variant of this deck. Try it for yourself and comment below with your feedback!
Don't bother commenting without testing, cause for fuck sake, even i would've died laughing if someone showed me that stupid deck a week ago. Try it for yourself! And have fun!
2015-05-06 CHANGES TO THE DECK :
I removed 1 resurect cause it was too random but 1 is still crazy good sometimes. Added a second Worgen Infiltrator for a good Velen's Chosen target. Could be Gilblin Stalker if you like tankyness and suvivability to dudes and traps.
I am also testing Blingtron but he look slow as fuck and TOO RANDOM!
Ok after some test BLINGTRON SUCKS! Yeah it can be fun but RNG is unreliable. I replaced him with HOLY FIRE!
Credit to Dasso for adding Coldlight Oracle in the deck instead of Jeeves.
Credit to Theomancer for the latest change (as of 2015-04-28)
Credits to Seijou for nothing, He just added me to watch me play it and i find that funny. HAI SEIJOU!!
From rank 15 to 5 so far.
Here's some amazing alternate cards:
-2 Shadow Word: Pain, -2 Coldlight Oracle, -1 Shadow Madness, -1 Shadowform, -1 Loot Hoarder
+2 Resurrect, +2 Velen's Chosen, +1 King Mukla, +1 Jungle Panther, +1 Novice Engineer
I'm still tinkering with the list, but this deck is absolutely a freaking delight. You don't need SW:Pain, because you can ignore their board altogether, and those precious card slots need to hit face. Coldlight Oracle is good for fast aggro decks like this, and might still find a way in -- but usually you win the game before you need the draw, oftentimes. Shadow Madness is slow and conditional, and takes up a deckslot that could be used better. Shadowform is good, but very slow -- but instead of removing it altogether, it's good to have for when you run out of steam, so we only remove one to swap for a Jungle Panther. Swap the slow, silence-able Loot Hoarder for a fast Novice Engineer.
+2 Resurrect because it brings back Leeroy and Arcane Golem for two mana, freaking amazing. +2 Velen's Chosen is extremely good, after a lot of testing -- and helps nudge spell damage! King Mukla is my favorite card in the game, and the only players who realize how good he is are Alchemixt and Hyp3d. Yes, he gives away bananas -- but your enemy needs to have a board presence to use them, as well as forcing him to expend his mana inefficiently.
One possible swap is x1 Holy Smite exchanged for x1 Holy Fire. It's a bit risky if you draw it too early, but it can give you a final push in the end that you need when you run out of steam, and Holy Smite is better for extremely rare board control than it is for pushing face damage.
Another important change is removing the final Shadowform, and doing +1 Auchenai.
Shadowform is fun, but it's important to try to only use it later in the game when you can get a better, faster start with other rush cards. Then you'd use Shadowform on turn 5 or 6 when you don't have any other plays, to push out face damage with your hero power. Auchenai is better, because it is only one extra mana, and plops an enormous body on the board as a threat as well. Jungle panther is another strong four damage to face. Also huge is that these are both very strong bodies to summon with Resurrect.
I've also removed x2 Holy Smite, and added +1 Silence and +1 Holy Fire. The Holy Fire might not stick around in the deck, but it is another big finish in the deck when you're struggling to get your other pieces like Mind Blast and Leeroy. (Important side note: play Leeroy extremely liberally, and don't hold him for a finisher -- you never know when that taunt will drop!)
I'm gonna test this right now. What rank are you right now with this? Have you played it a bit?
I like the panther idea, it's like a lesser arcane golem.
I tested it, so far so good. Resurecting a mukla is devastating.
I think it need at least 1 more draw, i'm not sure coldlight or another engineer.
I don't like the auchenai, too slow and easy to deal with. I need the constant damage every turn and if my opponent deal with it it cancel my "hunter hero power".
Yeah man -- one game I did a turn4 double resurrect on Mukla, it was freaking hysterical, lol.
Auchenai is slow, but so is shadowform, too. What I like about Auchenai is the body that comes with it -- but I know what you mean, shadowform can be nice.
I'm rank 9, but I haven't played the deck in ranked yet -- you?
I only play ranked since it means nothing and every win is +1 in any golden portrait.
I played this deck to rank 15 to 5.
I feel like Loot Hoarder is better than Engineer here since you have a chance of resurrecting them. A resurrected 2/1 with a deathrattle is gonna do quite a bit more than a vanilla 1/1. Not to mention the 2/1 can't be eaten alive by a 2 health minion and applies more face damage in the event of a weapon kill or actually surviving a turn. Also hardly anyone silences Loot Hoarders unless they think you're a combo deck.
It's true that Resurrect is better on a Loot Hoarder, but this deck is so crazy fast -- and you have so much extra mana to spare late game -- that novice engineer is significantly faster at getting you the tools you need for that extra reach.
However, I actually have gone back from Novice Engi to Coldlight Oracle. You still get the instantaneous draw, but it's a bit slower -- but you get double-draw instead of single.
I would swap out the coldlights and the shadowforms for sure. They don't really fit the deck. Shadowform is an ultra late control card, not an aggro card at all. If card draw is a problem enough that you think you need coldlights, just up the curve just a little. You have too many 1 drops.
It's an aggressive deck, wich mean early in the game, i'll deal more damage than most decks. If i run out of steam, the Coldlight Oracle can draw me double Mindblast !
Shadowform is way too slow specially with 2x of them, there is no way this deck beats hunters who run explosives in time.
Unless we are talking about rank 5-10 ladder which is full of retards.
+1 for your effort tho :)
I'm not so sure what can i change instead and i had some really good experience with it.
The deal isn't to beat face hunter people, it's to beat everyone! And this deck can achieve this.
As i said, it's not a 100% win rate deck, but who can predict playing vs face Priest?
What does explosive even do? You got charging minions and face spell! You're not a zoo in this deck silly!
resurrect should be tested. resurrect+charge or resurrect+stealth, even resurrect+leper gnome
I will test this instead of Shadowform! Will update you with it.
I've tested it a bit, here are my changes:
-2 abusive, -1 ironbeak, -1 coldight, -2 shadowform, -1shadow madness
+2 silence, +2 resurrect, +2 velen's chosen, +1 deathlord, and +1 jungle panther.
Ironbeak is unnecessary when we have silence, in face hunter, you never play iron beak as a body, and it rarely ever had the opportunity to attack. Silence is free, so i see no reason not to use it. I personally feel like resurrect is really strong here with stealth and charge minions, and has synergy with velen's chosen turn 5. Velen's chosen is a really good card in this deck because it makes minions much harder to remove, and adds a lot of pressure. 6/6 arcane golem? 6/6 jungle panther? even a 4/5 leper gnome or worgen turn 3. Deathlord is a solid card because its a face deck, and it protects your smaller minions, and can even be buffed with velen's chosen. Jungle panther should be thought of as another SLIGHTLY slower arcane golem.
Priest unlike hunter, does not have as much damage as hunter. Instead, priest has cards like velen's chosen, and power word shield to keep your minions alive. For example, turn one worgen, coin death lord turn 2, velen's chosen the worgen, thats a 2/8 and a 4/5 on turn 3. Attempting to play face priest as if it were face hunter would be wrong. They are two different decks, with two different sets of cards.
You definitely don't want to add the Silence card to the deck, because the owl gives you a board presence. While Silence does indeed cost zero mana, it has an infinitely more significant cost: the card slot. In 80% of matchups it's a dead draw until like turn 5 sludge belcher, by which time you have enough mana to spare for owl anyway.
You don't want +1 Deathlord, that's just antithetical to the deck altogether.
It's a big mistake to suggest -2 Abusive Sergeant, as that's one of the best aggro pieces in the deck. It also helps your little guys trade up through bigger taunts if needed, as well.
But +2 resurrect is definitely godmode, as you can pull Leeroy and Mukla back from the grave -- not to mention even having four Arcane Golems in your deck, etc. And +2 Velen's Chosen is amazing as well, for extra push and stickiness on minions to do more damage for another turn.
The Light shall burn you!
