this is a good deck still having trouble with hunters
Should I craft Ysera before Tirion? They're both so good, but Ysera can go in any control deck.
Tirion is probably the most versatile legendary, I would favor him over Ysera.
Tirion can only be used with Paladin, obviously, but is in pretty much every single pally deck. Ysera can be used by any class, obviously. So if you're fine with playing only Paladin then craft him. Otherwise I would craft a Dr. Boom or Sylvanas/Loetheb over others if you dont have them yet. Pretty much every deck with every class uses Boom and often Syl.
I already have Sylvanas and Boom. Crafted him the first week he was released and never looked back.
Think I'll go with Tirion because he's necessary for a competitive Pally deck. If I really need Ysera, then I'll just
dust my golden Vol'jin.
Every single paladin deck has Tirion and he's always the only card I don't have.. is he THAT good? Doesn't a simple silence just destroy you? And most decks have at least 1 owl right now..
If it doesn't get silenced, then you win the game.
Tirion ends the game if they don't silence. That's why he's good.
DId they silence Sylvanas? Cairne maybe? No? Okay...
Well here's turn 7 Ysera. Silence her or lose the game.
Did they silence Ysera or destroy her? Okay, well can they deal with Tirion on turn 8?
See where I'm going? Eventually they don't have an answer or have run out of them, and you take over the game. That's how Control works.
This deck has three silence targets and only Druids and Shaman run more than one silence (even Shaman are now cutting to one Earth Shock). Kebler has built an amazing mid-range-y deck.
Hey guys, I have almost every card on this decklist and I want to give it a try. Does anyone know what I could put instead of Ysera?
If you don't have Ysera, Nefarian will make a decent replacement. He fills the spot somewhat, in that he gives card Advantage and is big. He's susceptible to BGH, while Ysera is not, though...
Thanks for the reply! I'll try to craft Ysera as soon as possible.
Amazing deck, been on a constant win steak with the only close matchup as handlock. Rend has been performing well tbh, getting rid of voljins that swap my ysera's health, loathebs, rags and such. It does die easily, but its often a good 2 for 1 trade.
From what I've seen of the stream Rend has gotten some pretty decisive kills. Great removal for Loatheb the turn he is dropped. Rend is far from an auto-include for dragon decks but his value is much higher than what people thought of him previously.
I watched his stream for around 15 mins yesterday. There was a turn where his opponent played Emperor and it looked like he didnt have an answer for it until he top decked Rend. It was glorious! :-) He doesnt seem to be "useless" like people thought hed be, but it remains to be seen how viable the card actually is.
If it's Control vs MIdrange or Control then Rend is very good. But if you're seeing Zoo, mech mage, and huntards left and right, he's useless. Those decks are the most popular decks in the game and not any of them runs a SINGLE legendary card.
Archmage Antonidas is a Legendary. The mechmages that can afford him tend to run him from what I've seen.
I'm watching his stream right now and I notice that he's running a Coghammer; do you know what he took out to fit it?
-2x Muster for Battle, -1x Defender of Argus
+2x Coghammer, +1x Zombie Chow
Win streak from rank 14 to 10 :)
