I am Shudderwock, I am a turtle!

Hey everyone, this is Shudderstone again with a fun and this time very viable Shudderwock deck!

This time, I bring you a control heavy deck which can give you loads and loads of armor to make aggro futile against you. So the main purpose for this deck is to basically always win against aggro decks that flood the current wild meta.

I streamed this deck live on Twitch and got some very overwhelming games which are over in no-time.

This deck is very versatile, to give you the upper hand in almost every situation, but it also has a strong late game combo which you can activate from turn 11 onwards.

Combo pieces:

  • Mo'Arg Forgefiend: If you play this against an aggro deck, they'll probably going to concede immediately. But for the combo you need one of these bad boys to die.
  • N'Zoth: Unlike in my Elwynn boar deck, N'Zoth is quite safe to play if you have had a Forgefiend die earlier as it immediately gives you a body for the enemy to deal with.
  • And of course you need Saronite Chain-Gang and Grumble to make the combo infinite.

Tips:

  • Witchwood piper can get you both armor vendors early so you can get some armor early game, but remember to play ice fishing before you do so otherwise you might pull toxfin instead. When you have both Armor Vendors and the Flurgl-Tox combo already, playing another Witchwood Piper can get you Astalor instead! So Witchwood Piper is very very valuable to have!
  • Snowblind Harpy is also a very niche but effective way to gain armor, because both Ice Fishing and Windchill (created by the Sleetbreaker) are frost spells. When you have played Ice Fishing once and you have the other one in your hand, keep it! If you are not able to or don't want to play Sleetbreaker, then keeping Ice Fishing in hand can guarantee lots of armor during infinite Shudderwock turns.
  • This deck only has two ways of clearing the board, and that is Flurgl-Tox and Street Sweeper, so when you can get Street Sweeper in your starting hand when you see a Rogue, Pirate, Demon Hunter or Paladin, definitely keep it. Also, doubling the battlecry deals an insane 4 damage to all minions, which can clear most boards around turn 6.
