Maybe we not gonna be rich but definitely we gonna have some fun after crafting this ridiculously expensive deck. Naturally there are a lot of cheaper replacements but i will add them if deck will get some interest.
For now, the deck is naturally very fun to play and, with adequate meta counters, has high WR (12-3 with this version but i feel i was lucky).
I know Reno Mage archetype is basically the same since Boomsday but i believe this version, for now, is one of the most entertaining ones.
As always, if there be about 10 upvotes, i will add guide with matchups, replacements and some cool replays
Sorry, i didn't have much time but i ended up with 21-8

Guide:
Mulligan: If it can be competitive aggro; mulligan for aggro so keep everything for cheap that makes active difference on board when played. against control so probably just priest for sure, you can keep even 7 drops.
Wait with book of spectres until you draw spells necessary in the matchup.
Don't give up to aggro. They often miss 1-5 dmg to win.
If you have problem with aggro, change siamat for zilliax or add armor vendor.
Mage: Secret; hope they wouldn't have perfect hand. Don't keep Zephrys forever, just use him on turn 4 to kill something. The only secret you really have to worry about is Counterspell so rather don't pick 5 mana potions. If it's to oppressive, add Eater of Secrets. AMP/Mozaki; you have Dirty Rat, you have Mutanus, you have Iceblock and Reno so you should be fine.
Priest: Big; try to get transform spells from Kazakus and Zeph. Try to not kill his big minions if it's possible to get rid of them in some other way. Use that freezing dude so you can survive to Amazing Reno. If it's to oppressive, add Polymorth. Reno; after they play DK try to get his Shadowspawn. Wait with Iceblock until they play DK, cause sometimes they run eater which you can destroy by Rat or Mutanus.
Druid: Celestial; keep Loatheb until they play Celestial. After that try to crush him with big cards especially like Alex. Token; survive first wave of minions with any effort and you should be fine (sometimes you just can't).
Warlock: Discard; try to find aoe secret or zephrys early. Remember about +1/+1 for all his minons spell and Doomguards. Reno; very fun matchup, try to transform or poof big demons.
DH: Odd; find Reno Jackson and just try to control the table.
Hunter: Just find Reno, hunters are usually lame.
Paladin: Odd; Remember about Quartermaster, Oh my Yogg and Determination.
Rogue: Kingsbane; Find Reno and Zephrys, try to get them back.
Warrior: Pirate; survive first wave and find Reno. Odd; is an easy win, just keep their armor lower than your health.
Shaman: Murloc; Zephrys into Crab on turn 3 and you win. If you don't draw him just try to survive the first wave. Shudderwock; you have Rat and Mutanus for it.
Replacements:
Inkmaster Solia - Dragoncaster (add at least one more dragon like 5 mana malygos)
If you don't have something, add Zilliax, Polymorph, Eater of Secrets or Armor Vendor (depends on what you often meet on ladder)
With this list's card draw having been weakened by the removal of Book of Specters, I'm a little worried about our ability to consistently draw Vol'jin and Rat on time.
What are your thoughts on the following suggestions?
-Solarian,
-Doomsayer,
-Mad Scientist,
+Arcane Intellect (OR bring back Book of Specters, if we're comfortable with risk),
+Witchwood Piper (which will now either tutor Zephyrs or Rat, now that we've eliminated most of the other 2-drops),
+Boompistol Bully (if you drew one of the more expensive disruption tools (Vol'jin, Mutanus), but not Rat, and need to stall for time against an opponent who generated their quest reward early (but hasn't played it yet)).
I played some games today and this version was surprisingly fine on d3. The truth is i didn't see a lot of warlocks then so i think those changes are okay but only if you're facing a lot of warlocks.
I see, so as usual, our pocket metas are to explain for our differing preferences (currently in 'dumpster legend', FYI, where Seedlocks still run rampant); hopefully, Blizzard will do something (more substantial) about this Questline meta in the foreseeable future!
Hey, I'm back with a question:
If you had to choose to craft only one of these two, which would you say is more impactful? Kazakus or Luna's Pocket Galaxy?
I see Kazakus in basically every reno deck that can include him, and I understand why, but I can't help but think LPG is the breadwinner in this deck because of all the high value minions you cheat if you can get to that stage. Another thing to note is that I don't have Stargazer Luna either :P
What do you think?
Well, if you don't have Stargazer Luna, Luna's Pocket Galaxy won't be that important, cause those two cards just go together. So in this case better option would be Kazakus.
I love this list! I made an account just to comment lol. I've been playing with Reno decks since he first dropped and this a really strong list! One change I did make was -1 Simat and +1 Blizzard to help vs the amount of aggro decks on the latter at the moment. Thanks for sharing your list!
Thank you very much! Blizzard is very good card although you have to remeber more spells mean bigger risk for discarding one by Book of Spectres which is worth running it. Personally, i would add Zilliax in replacement for Siamat like i wrote in the guide since there is Verden Dawngrasp (sometimes even with brann).
Btw if you love reno decks as much as i do, check out my other decks. They are all reno and i would say they are all at least as fine as this one:))

That happens but in return you have experience.
I only need to craft 10 legendaries to play this deck. :P
I've seen a deck like this in action, though, and I can definitely say that it looks fun when it works.
Cheers!
Getting there is a part of fun:)
Hi, thanks for the deck. Could you tell me the importance of kalecgos?
Ok so i think there are 3 main aspects:
1. On turn 10 he's just a solid control card that potentially could give you very adequate answer to the situation on board for free. (and the opponent usually kills him with ANY effort).
2. After LPG you pay 1 mana for 4/12 and any spell you find. Basically playing high value cards like Kalegos is the point of running LPG.
3. If you don't have Inkmaster Solia, you play Dragoncaster so you need at least 4-5 dragons then and Kalegos is one of the best dragons.
I think you surely can play without him, but he's just excellent for this deck.
I love this deck, if you know how to play Control Mage you will find success with this deck.
Your deck looks great, mate. Have my upvote.
Thank you very much!
What rank did you play this to get 12-3?
Legend but like i sad, i feel i was lucky. I will play some more games for more reliable result.
