Hello guys
My name is ManGawy (formally know as WhiTeEagLE), I'm caster in EmpirePlay team that cast the Official HS events in Arabic language and a casual player mainly playing WILD mode..
But this week is not the same as others, its the last expansion on Year of the Phoenix 🐦
Since the expansion lunch few days ago I started working on new standard decks, the idea are scattering around but one of them is outstanding enough for me to post it for you here..
I present to you, the C'thun Saron Control warrior, with a few versions floating around, I perfected this one right here for you <3

So that will be the 1st time I hit legend in both standard and wild in same month.. few days before season ends 🎉🎉 your support was my fuel to do it!!
First of all, most of the decks I faced while ranking up are pure paladin, DM (aggro/combo/weapon) and hunters (highlander or face)
We will talk about other classes latter (including mirror match's) caz it will take some time ^^
OK, let's start with the mulligan:
Vs DM, Hunters, and Paladins we always assume we are playing vs aggro decks
Always keep:
EVIL Quartermaster, 1 Minefield (or 2 vs hunters) , Lord Barov, Corsair Cache (if u have good 2/3 mana cards)
If you have coin also keep:
Sword Eater, Bladestorm, Shield Block, Ancharrr, Coerce
NEVER KEEP
Brawl , Armorsmith, Battle Rage, Bulwark of Azzinoth, Kobold Stickyfinger (u draw it when u draw it, but don't keep it) or any high mana card ofc.
The main idea is to keep the field clear, make sure to trade minions and instead of going face while building up armor.
Make sure you keep the combo pieces till the right time to use them, but NEVER hesitate to use if you feel your opponent is dealing so much damage or building up the board
Main Strategies and mulligan:
-Risky Skipper, Armorsmith , Battle Rage , Bloodsworn Mercenary > armor + card draw, can use more than 1 copy of any of them
-Its ok to use Bloodsworn Mercenary in this combo vs aggro decks don't try to save it for Rattlegore duplication
-DONT HESITATE to use Bladestorm with Armorsmith and any minion for extra armor
-Its ok sometimes to trade face with your Bulwark of Azzinoth to clear a fat minion with 1 hp left, remember it loose 2 durability points (1 for attack and 1 for blocking damage)
-Use Deathwing, Mad Aspect for removal not value, it never stay on the field for the next turn anyway (unless your opponent is empty handed or a hunter)
-C'Thun, the Shattered value is not in finishing the combo, it's in the removals spells it provide you
-Risky Skipper + Lord Barov is a good board clear at turn 4
-You can also use Lord Barov with Eye of C'Thun / Heart of C'Thun / Shield Slam / Bladestorm
-Also it's ok to play Lord Barov on turn 3 and clear the board on turn 4 if you don't have cards to kill it
Replacement options:
This are the ones you can replace, if you are missing 1 or 2 it will be fine to run the deck as they mainly secure the win rather than being a win condition
Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate
Brawl
Bloodsworn Mercenary
Rattlegore
Deathwing Mad Aspect
Lord Barov
-Those cards can be replaced by another Coerce and/or Shield Slam, but I strongly suggest crafting Lord Barov as it is extremely powerful duel class card
As for the core cards, unfortunately they can't be replaced:
Ancharrr
Bulwark of Azzinoth
Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate
Bladestorm
Brawl

i kicked stickyfinger from the deck again. turns out another shield slam is more usefull
My friend who was helping me develop the deck said the same thing, he ran it to legend with slam instead of sticky ao its fine 👌
I don't have Ancharrr and Deathwing, Mad Aspect.
It's worth to craft that cards that will rotate out in April?
no. especially not Ancharr.
Ancharr provided me consistent draw of Risky Skipper and Sword Eater. Hardly anybody uses weapon removals like ooze.
Deathwing, Mad Aspect is a good additional boad clear
U can replace deathwing alright..
But ancrr is rly core for the deck to work!

I logged in for the first time just to post a comment on this deck!
2 days ago, I hit legend with the Kargath version of it and added another Coerce (from D5 to D2 in a 9:0 win streak)!
It was really doing very well against all the agro decks out there (esp. DH, Agro Hunter and Evo Shamans, which I faced ~75% of the time)

This deck is terrible.. just waaaay to slow to play on ladder at the moment.
This deck beats Aggro so...?
mainly this deck is anti-agrro, with most cards being removal cards, draw, armor gaining, ur opponent will run out of stream while u start building up a board slowly

is there any good replacemant for Risky Skipper? i love playing warrior but due to card being locked in adventure i can't play too may warrior list cause for me it's always feels like Risky Skipper is just a core of every single warrior deck (except menagerie warrior i guess)
no way to play it without Risky Skipper
and i dont understand how is this card locked? is it not even craftable??? that would be insaaaaaane !!!
well there is quote from hearthstonepedia "Two copies of regular Risky Skipper are obtained by defeating The Dragonflights in Galakrond's Awakening's Chapter 3 of E.V.I.L. campaign. Once the regular version has been obtained, both regular and golden versions can be crafted and disenchanted.", so sadly you need to buy 4 wings ( 2 from good guys and 2 from evil) and only after that you can craft this card which is kinda stupid
I dont have a couple of old expansions but i still can craft cards from them, its kinda unfair to not be able to craft a single card like this
Unfortunately there is legendary cards u can substitute but risky skipper is absolutely irreplaceable 😔
I've replaced Bloodsworn Mercenary and Rattlegore with Kargath Bladefist and Athletic Studies. Helps with DH, Hunters and other face goers. So far - D7.
not bad tbh, if u dont have Rattlegore its ok to remove Bloodsworn Mercenary or u can keep it for Armorsmith vs aggro decks, its important to understand u don't have to "play the combo" u must be fixable
Kargath Bladefist is a good replacement, if the deck could have 31 card that would be one ^^
but Rattlegore is super strong as a deal breaker, if ur opponent cant deal with him on spot the game is over for sure
I am having great success with a deck similar to this. Differences is I don't run Yogg because often times I didn't get to play him or wasn't ready yet in most of my games, had Corsair Cache but took it out because often times it didn't draw, and 1 Plague of Wrath over Coerce for the Druid matchups that it struggles with.
ok, i had a lot of thinking about Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate , its true he come late at the game, but he is mainly a "Get Out of Jail Free card" when u face a strong control deck, i can clear the board, give u cards, steal enemy minions, give u full board, or just screw you up.. i never play it when I have other options just for value, and tbh, there is many games I wouldn't have survived without it's help (from either sides 😂)
but lets be clear about this, DO NOT CRAFT IT if u don't have it, its no.1 in the dispensable card list..
How do you use Bloodsworn Mercenary , with Rattlegore mainly ?
in control yes, in aggro matchups use with Armorsmith
