I don't have most of the legendaries so before i waste a year worth of dust (F2P) into somthing that doesn't work I wanted to see other people's opinion...so:
the idea is that of a grindy/value deck trying to stabilize vs aggro and run the other decks out of stuff, the reno part is mostly there because i love the finnley card and zephris has carried me very often...even in wild
The pixie is there because I despise OTKs from the bottom of my heart so this is what i think Uther should have always been....you only win if they let your guys live (honestly i added it because i liked the idea but it can 100% be cut if it's too slow or something)
the rest of the deck is just what i think may work in a deck like this, i was debating if a n'zoth shell would be better than a galvadon/lynessa/shirvalla one but i like this one as a concept a lot more (still i'm open to change A LOT in this build,i would just like to see your suggestions, expecially if you've played similar decks)
Hello again! Right off the bat, I see two main potential improvements your deck could use.
First is that your curve is a bit too low for the amount of card draw you have. Crystology, Hand of A'dal, and Solemn Vigil are all good inclusions to help with that. If you don't want to draw, you could also generally raise your curve.
Second, I see that your deck's goal is to have several power turns with Lynessa Sunsorrow and Lady Liadrin, and then become stronger over time by discounting and copying Libram of Wisdom. This is a great plan for non-Reno Libram Paladin, but it's hindered in the Reno version by the fact that Aldor Attendant and Aldor Peacekeeper are only two cards in your deck, and for them to have the kind of recurring value you need, you also need to draw Libram of Wisdom in a timely manner. Furthermore, only Aldor Peacekeeper can reduce the cost of Libram of Wisdom to zero. I don't think the Libram package in a Reno deck in strong enough in Wild.
I would replace your deck's Libram package with an N'zoth package. Murgur Murgurgle is already great for recurring value with N'zoth, and now you can justify including more defensive cards: Sludge Belcher, Khartut Defender, Tirion Fordring, and even Immortal Prelate or Feugen/Stalagg if you want to get spicy. Using N'zoth as a finisher has three distinct advantages - your defensive plays double as proactive plays to set up for N'zoth, your new sticky Taunts allow you to stall for longer before clearing the board, giving you more value per board clear, and you can tutor N'zoth with Lorekeeper Polkelt.
A few other cards you may want to include are Wave of Apathy, Lord Barov, and Truesilver Champion.
Hi again, It's still me,now on my "main" account😅
so the other account got banned b4 I could respond because...reasons I guess, apparently the first message I posted on your deck is """""trolling""""" (and so I got a warning) yet I got banned the frame I asked for any kind of explanation
However, before we were so rudely interrupted, I was about to write:
Thx, I'll consider your advice when I finally build the deck (right after darkmoon releases)
I am usually quite skeptical about card draw as 99% of my decks are hardcore fatigue (without any stupid BS like benedictus and alike) but I will at least test how it feels
For the general "theme" of the deck...you are probably correct, I'll n'zoth it up and save the libram/galvadon/lynessa stuff for a non highlander deck later on
One thing I would like to know though, Is your opinion on the Uther/Pixie minicombo, is it realistic or is it too slow/cluncky?
Sry if you find grammar/spelling mistakes or weird typos...my phone does not speak english in the slightest
Nice to hear from you again :)
I should mention that I hadn't considered the new cards when I was looking at your deck, since I'm not sure how good they'll turn out to be. I bet your deck could support the new N'zoth, too, since you already run minions from five different tribes.
I remember a fatigue warrior deck from way back when that had the same hesitance to use card draw for the same reason, so they ran Coldlight Oracle. Maybe that would help? Otherwise, you could run an Immortal Prelate, if you're not against it. That card would save you from a lot of fatigue damage.
Uther without the hero power represents 20 healing and 15 damage, so he's decent to run by himself. For the Pixie to work, you need to stick two horsemen. Playing Uther will already make your opponent wary of being OTK'd, so the chance that a prepared opponent will be unable to remove one 2/2 in two turns is very small. If they can't remove the 2/2s, that implies they're just about out of relevant resources and you can win just by playing anything. I believe Pixie will almost never really win you games, but it will slow you down in all other stages of the game by not being healing, removal, or a proactive play.
Hi, thx agan for your time.
So about the oracle I already run it in my odd/odd quest Warrior, the main reason it isn't here is that I'm afraid It will mess up my aggro matchup quite a bit as odd Warrior can usually afford to give them a few cards while this deck...I'm not so sure. However I will try it out here too if you think it may be a good idea
On the pixie part... Yea that's what I was afraid of, maybe I'll test it later down the line just for the hell of it but I don't think it will be that good. The main idea was that (since I've been in similar situation) once I let the opponent realize I'm not hardcore going for the OTK (as it requres a bit of setup with coins/librams and whatnot) he may leave 1/2 horsemen laying there if he needs to clear bigger bodies or play his own threats/value or even threaten a 2 turn lethal, only clearing the horsemen when I get to the 3rd and that's when the pixie was supposed to come in
Immortal prelate...while I hate the concept I think one copy is counterable enough (silence/transform) that I may not feel bad running it, It's definetly a consideration.
Anyway, thank you (again) for your advice, I'll spend my gold when the expansion hits and try to build the deck with the dust I get and esperiment with the different ideas you posted :)
sry but the point was exactly making it NOT be an OTK deck since i never found them fun or interesting to either play or play against but if you have some other tips that can make THIS deck better without "runinig" it for me they are more than welcome (e.g. is the Uther+pixie idea too slow/cluncky? would N'zoth be better?)
Hi,
I played Reno Pally for nearly two seasons and it was a lot of fun! But its not the metabreaker at the moment...
Check out my deck version i posted a few weeks ago. Its an Beardo OTK. In my newest version i kicked out Thalnos and Time Out for First Day of School and Grizzled Wizard.
