Hi again,
Thanks for the likes and comments.
Here is the guide as promised.Updates:- Replaced 2x Safeguard with 2x Candletaker since the deck is mostly struggling against aggro decks.- Another replacement is Arch-Villain Rafaam with 1x Twisting Nether since it could be a better option than Archivist Elysiana against control match-ups while you have nothing great to play with 20+ cards in your deck in the late game.- Replaced 2x Candletaker with 2x Mechanical Whelp since the deck seems to need bigger bodies in the mid-game.
October Update
Hi all, I've made some updates on the deck after the newest changes in game adding our 2 old IMBA friends Ragnaros and Sylvanas. The deck is now far stronger.
Mulligan
Always keep Questing Explorer, Shadow Bolt, Hellfire, Candletaker since you will need removals and cheap minions most of the time apart from the type of the opp's deck.
Game play
Keep Plot Twist always to combine:
A) with Dollmaster Dorian or Fel Lord Betrug for board control
or
B) with Archmage Vargoth and/or Augmented Elekk to finish the quest faster and/or increase the card amount in your deck.
Keep in mind that you can be lucky to draw Archmage Vargoth and/or Augmented Elekk while using Plot Twist with Dollmaster Dorian or Fel Lord Betrug.
Win Condition
For me the best and the funniest win condition is planting Corrupted Bloods into the opponent's deck. Doing this with Plot Twist + Fel Lord Betrug combo is the best way. It would be better if you call Augmented Elekk too during this combo since it would plant a second Corrupted Blood
Another win condition is Arch-Villain Rafaam. Although it's a little bit gambling, filling your deck with legendries that you can play for 2 mana is a very strong, especially when you consider the late game advantages this deck is providing.
I don't get it. How does plot twist and betrug plant corrupted bloods into the opponent's deck...?
You summon Hakkar using Betrug + Plot Twist that dies at the end of the turn, thus planting the corrupted blood to the opponents deck.
But doesn't that also plant one in your own deck? What is the win condition here? How do you outlive your opponent, especially if you're playing Warlock and thinning your deck out?
because ellek shuffle ensures you have more cards than your opponent. or arch rafaam removes all bloods..
edit: never mind xD
Do you think this deck is a bit expensive? The value it gives is not commensurate with 16640 dust. You should think of some ways to reduce some legendary in deck, or at least give us a few alternatives. Thanks for reading!
Actually I've made this deck to be an alternative for the players who are bored of playing the same decks. It's definetly not a T1 or T2 deck and performance/dust rate is significantly low. Hence, I'd not recommend anyone to craft any this-deck-related specific cards like Dorian or Betrug.
why Candletaker?
cause it respawns, for 3 dmg.
Used to play almost the same deck but without Elysiana. That's the funniest deck in a game, but having the lowest win rate. Would say about 40%.
Still would swap at least 1 Elekk for something else. Thinking that 2 is too much.
Maybe 1x Vodoo Doll and 1x Mortal Coil for big minion removal
yea the deck is missing Power, I played a similar Deck but I used Deathrattle cards like Mechanical Whelp or Cairne to have something on the board after shuffle.
Some play this deck with Doomsayers, I kinda like Sense Demons for instaHeal
Hakkar is so weak imo, my worst craft.
First of all you need to draw alot, and with your Hero power you will every time and you end up with less cards than your Opponent (if you didnt benefit from Elek). I had the situation many times where I wanted to generate more cards thru bloods and ended up dying to them before my enemy. Plus if he overdraws the bloods are gone btw. without dmg.
And the bloods are way too slow. Even if he draws them at the end he prob has full life cause theres no other dmg in the deck, while you struggle to survive with the +4hp. So he can survive easily 4-5 turns, but can you? I couldnt most of the time. And then theres the aggro games that are not in your favor.
it is a fun and new deck, but its 50-50 vs control and 25-75 against aggro at best.
I d also say rafaam or Archivist El. not both. Archivist is better because Legendarys dont clear boards und rarely heal you.
You can use 2x Impbalming instead of 1xCandletaker and 1x Augmented Elekkif you are having trouble against big minions, which also synergizes well with Rafaam.
i would add him and drop one less Twisting nether
I agree with you.
Guide please........
Added.
thanks :)
Can Arch-Villain Rafaam also make a good addition here?
Transforming tons of harmful Corrupted Blood to legendaries and sometime a wincon.
Definetly. I've replaced 1x Twisting Nether with Rafaam. You can find the update note in explanation.
