imo, against control with this deck it is not ideal to rush out Scales, in which case it is not necessary to have Lens early. Play strong board, but not too wide, do face dmg and bait out their AoE. They can clear a board of 3+ minions once or twice, and then Scales can replenish you and overwhelm them for the last dmg.
Assuming you're using Finley, Zephrys, and Nomi like the list suggests, these are all great late game win conditions. My list also has Leeroy, Truesilver, and Glowstone which are all solid finishers too.
cards i ALWAYS keep on mulligan, in order: Lens (obv), Tidecaller, Murmy, Toxfin, Fishflinger, Tidehunter if I have Tidecaller.
cards i DO NOT EVER keep on mulligan: Scales (obv), Warleader, Bluegill, Oracle, Amalgam.
exactly. if I don't draw Lens I get massacred...so its just a waiting game for this card...and that reduces the deck to a predictable one way street...I don't think it will be played for a long time...
I am playing with a slightly varied version of this deck. Here are the changes I made.
- Acolyte of Pain
- Salhet's Pride
- 2 Murloc Tastyfin
+ Truesilver Champion
+ Leeroy Jenkins
+ 2 Glowstone Technician
With it I have played a total of 82 games since yesterday, with a record of 49-33 for a solid 60%.
From rank 5 to 3, NA server.
I never really found that I needed card draw, Lens draws 2, Scales thins deck. Play smart board early, don't just dump your hand and go face unless in a match where you can do lethal in the next couple turns. Mid-late game Glowstone buffs your murlocs in hand as well as Leeroy up to a 10/6 for a finisher, add Truesilver for 14 burst dmg. Always keep Lens on mulligan, do not keep Warleader or Bluegill as you want them summoned by Scales.
I've played 20+ games with this deck now, and I have managed to get a positive winrate, but holy hell it's an impractical deck. It's definitely not for try harding on ladder, since if you don't draw the cards in the right order, you'll most likely lose slowly, but inevitably.
Shit deck 0-10 drew prismatic lens 0 times
This deck is horrible against other classes. I don't understand why it has a positive rating.
For the fucked meme...
Because it’s fun you poor sad try hard :)
i mean shaman just dies in the early game to tempo rouge and cant handle all the things giant mage so why is that deck relevant? it doesnt beat the best two decks.
I am 0-5 with the deck now. I guess people learned how to play around it and what to expect :)
8-2 with this deck right now. I guess people didn't learn how to play this deck and what to mulligan.
Oh, please! Cross your fingers and pray for the right mulligan, otherwise, you're out of luck. So many other decks have better synergy and are more forgiving if you have a bad opening hand.
So Nomi is the only legendary which is essential here? (I didnt get either of the others)
nomi is the worst legendary in the deck.
This deck was very fun and I have gone 4-1 with it so far and I think I will continue to clime with it for some time. Hungry crab may be a tech for other decks in the futre btw but I am not sure yet. I may grind to legend this season and this is a deck I am thinking about doing it with this time. Made an adjustment or 2 but other than that I loved the deck.
I played against this deck today and was totally caught off guard by the Chef Nomi after I survived both Tip the Scales assaults. It's aggro, and if that doesn't work, you just Nomi and if your opponent doesn't have a leftover Brawl/Freeze/Nether/Plague it's gg. A+
I think that was me xD. I played against a warrior yesterday who brawled my two murloc boards do I nomi’d him hard.
Hah well wasn't me I wouldn't be caught dead playing snooze warrior. :p
What an awesome deck! It's fun, unique and can be extremely powerful, I also love the addition of finley and zephrys, I feel like they can help you close out a game pretty well once you used both tip the scales.
I made a video showcasing the deck in all its glory, I hope you all enjoy!
