Hi guys,
having a lot of fun with this little creation.
I'll change some cards when i have crafted them but until now thats the version i run.
Works surprisingly well vs all kinds of decks right now and got me a very easy climb from rank 10 to 5 with around 85% winrate.
If you want a more detailled guide, mulligan, etc let me know
Some more Details:
Mulligan:
Since this is rogue and we are some hours into an expansion its all very random but here are some general ideas.
- always keep: Hench-Clan Thug, Backstab, Pilfer, Preparation + Raiding Party
- with coin: Edwin VanCleef , SI:7 Agent
General Strategy:
- always keep your opponents health in your mind (there are alot of 2 turn lethal setups in this kind of rogue decks)
- go for tempo and if you fail to secure an easy win try to go for Exotic Mountseller or Heistbaron Togwaggle treasure combo
- Pilfer / Blink Fox + Vendetta is insane
- sometimes you can use the Waggle Pick for some neat things like double Leeroy Jenkins
Some Ideas to try:
- change the lackey/togwaggle-combo for something else (maybe Archivist Elysiana, Myra Rotspring , Barista Lynchen or Harbinger Celestia)
- add a second weapon for raiding party consistency
- add 1 EVIL Miscreant for Togwaggle consistency
- Try to include Walk the Plank or Fan of Knives vs more control/aggro decks
What i changed :
swapping 2x Hench-Clan Thug ; 1x Exotic Mountseller for :
1x Fan of Knives ; 1x EVIL Miscreant ; Bloodmage Thalnos
Would you consider adding Zilliax?
I thought about it but at least in my games my own health pool was very rarely a problem. Naturally you could try it vs harrison
Amazing deck, currently 7-1 in arena. Happy to see refreshing tempo based deck. Also love you have to think if you want to win.
Thanks for the kind words :)
with what can i change harisson jones
edit : nvrm i crafted him :)
The Mountseller sells itself tbh, alot of low cost spells to trigger it, and so far this seems to do really well against bomb warrior.
reckon I'm gonna craft them myself this afternoon. been toying with the idea for a few days now, but I have a few hundred dust and they could be what I need to top off my Thief-lite style deck as well.
I was using teachers in my deck as they cost less mana so you get them online faster. you only get a 1/1 back though. they can be great for if you;re trying not to send back massive henchclan thugs to your hand with pick though, like if you start flooding out 1/1's, each one of those is another chance you won't hot something important. it's kind of like some insurance against that happening.
TBH though when I start run thief or partial thief I normally run no weapons or cutlass though.
Hello, what should I replace for Fan or some AoE? Murloc shaman kinda cucked me
You can try to replace the raiding party package with 2xfan and maybe thalnos. Didn't try it out myself though.
My 2 games vs murloc shaman went pretty well but you kind of need your backstabs/prep/vendetta there to hold your ground.
I'll try later, I gotta admit that guy had awesome draw and was able to refill the board with 4-5 cards still in a hand even tho I had a good start and was able to remove everything till turn 4-5 but still he came back and I had no answer there :) Thanks for your answer tho!
its really bad vs bomb warrior but its really good vs murloc shaman and secret paladin
vs secretpaldin 5 wins 1 losses
vs murlocshaman 8wins 0 losses
vs bombwarrior 3wins 4losses
Fun deck! The inclusion of Exotic Mountseller as an alternative win condition is creative. Currently 6-2
Never came close vs bomb warrior. Got steamrolled by murlocs and secret paladin. Not feeling it with this.
yeh feels very inconsistent and not that strong
Sad to hear. I'm on my way to rank 3 with it at the moment. Just played 3 games, won them all. Maybe i am just lucky with it :)
But its for sure not a refined version you can change some stuff to make it maybe more consistent vs. aggro or control type decks
Hey - How's Heistbaron Togwaggle performing in this deck?
Honestly, as i said in the other comment i think you might want to deviate from the lackey stuff in a more refined version of this deck but at the moment its just a fun card to play with and it gives some kind of alternative win condition if the tempo plan fails. Besides that the lackeys are pretty good tempo most of the time ( you might want to go for one of the 3 drop lackey generators to get some more consistency)
It won me i think 1-2 games out of 25 ( 1 awesome double leeroy finish from the treasure) but besides that i rarely get to play it in my games
deck looks good dude, i'm not very experienced with rogues at all though, do you have a guide that can help me learn how to play this deck? would appreciate it a lot!
Hey, glad you like the core idea. In principle its very easy to play.
I faced alot of these new "bomb" warriors besides all the random creations floating around. You pretty much have 2-3 win conditions with this deck.
1. Win through tempo: Pilfer+0-Cost Vendetta+Weapon Turn 2+ Hench Clan Turn 3 and go from there
2. Setup with Exotic Mountseller+ Backstab/Prep/other Spells
3. Togwaggle with Lackey and a good treasure from it
Most of the time i went for the tempo option which might be the way to alter the deck in future versions but right now alot of stuff just works cause nothing is refined. So lets have some fun until we can. Especially the Mountseller combo is alot of fun and opponents dont really expect it.
A Mulligan guide for specific matchups is kind of pointless right now since there is too much random stuff going on. Pretty much just go for good tempo plays in the first 3 turns (edwin with coin, pilfer+vendetta,...) and go from there.
