Changelog
04/07/19
- -1 x Gadgetzan Auctioneer (Too slow for early game, better as a late game card)
- -2 x Sap (Too many bad sap targets! ie: Crystal Stag, Clockwork Goblin, tokens, virtually any rogue card, etc)
- -1 x Tak Nozwhisker (Nice meme and great value, but WAY too clunky. Bad top deck that will sit in your hand until you use him to clutter up your hand. Doesn't make sense, and you could potentially mill yourself in the process. Feel free to swap out Tess Greymane for him if you really want him that bad)
- +1 x Raiding Party
- +2 x Hench-Clan Burglar (Possibly the best card to have in rogue/mirror matches!)
- +1 x Captain Greenskin
This deck is too greedy and poor at handling aggro. Needs to be redone and remove all unecssary cards to make way for cards that can handle the meta. You don't need 2 espionage, Greenskin is only situational, and Toggwaggle's is a winmore card so there is somewhere to start.
Remove: 1 Espionage, Greenskin, Toggwaggle's scheme, 1 Walk the Plank, 1 Shadowstep.
Add: Fan of Knives, 2 SI:7 Agent, Vanish, 1 EVIL Miscreant(This card can do wonders).
With these changes I've started to win games, even against competative decks like mech hunter, while the deck is still fun to play.
how you finding this, mate? I have most of the cards, just need a couple of cheap ones so will give it a go.
what is your target with vargoth as well, please. espionage I'm guessing?
Honestly, I don't think this deck fits well enough in the current meta. There's a lot of bad class cards that get stuck in your hand, and a ton of aggro with not a lot of efficient enough ways to handle it. This deck will need revisiting once things smooth out a bit and people start playing more decks that counter the current meta. But for now, you're probably better off trying something else out. Just my two cents.
And about Vargoth... Originally, I thought he would be good with Deadly Poision, Sap, Pilfer, possibly Shadowstep (for double mana reduction), and a lot of stolen class spells. In reality, it seems he's a bit clunky or just too slow for the meta.
yeah I ended up playing a new togwaggle deck and chef nomi deck with unstable element. I did well with this deck as well, but didn't play a lot of games as wanted to test out my new legendaries.
Just an FYI, Raiding Party WILL BE the most important card in the deck, so you need to add a more robust Pirate package. You absolutely need to have 2 in the deck.
you got a pirate version, homes?

This is one I made, but I haven't play tested it yet. I think overall all the espionage decks might be too slow with Secret Pally and Murlocs out there. But this is a decent variant that will be able to get your weapon more reliably.
And just an FYI, even with this deck, I'd probably take out Tak Nozwhisker as it's just too slow and add a Blink Fox or SI:7 Agent
I don't care if this is going to work or not, looks like one of, if not the most fun deck to play
rogue is going to NEED sap/vanish for the silence priest deck. but with those it has some real potential against the slew of midrange decks that are about to bombard us in 1 day
Sadly, no one deck is going to be the Swiss army knife against all other decks... But I feel this one is going to be the closest you can get to that, and there will be more mediocre (or simply bad) sap targets than good ones, so I had to make a sacrifice. I tried to fit a vanish in, but it hurts the consistency a bit, and would you cut for it?
In theory, it should still be possible to beat a silence priest, but it definitely ain't gonna be easy and would somewhat rely on them not having the nuts
honestly i think vargoth, backstab, and toggwaggles scheme are going to be too weak in this deck. normally backstab would be good but the new aggro decks are packing a bunch of 3/4s which is why we got vendetta printed. i would probably replace those with 2 saps and 1 vanish. you cant think of your deck in a vacuum and go off of a good card check list. you have to look at what its going to theoretically be going up against and deal with the threats those decks bring to the table. and were looking at 2 man 4/5s and 3/4s, 3 mana 5/6s, mech/murloc synergies, etc/ also there might be room potentially for something like 2xraiding party instead of the sprint and throw in a few deckhands to always have spectral cutlasses lifesteal
do you have a version as well? I'm just looking at what people have came up with to decide what to spend dust on. I have everything for this bar 180 worth of cards so will probs try it out.
dunno what to take out for vanish though.
i dont see vargoth in thief rogue..
If none of the spells in this list are good enough for him, then I would take another look at how many spells from other classes would be good to cast twice in one turn. Especially if those spells were reduced down to 1 mana...
Nice deck, might try it out
this deck is kiblers deck but with slight modifications
Many built this decks. It's not a complicated one and a dude from the internet isn't a god, eventho guys like you worship them. So it's not kibler's deck and it's out for the taking
I made this deck before the pre-release blizzard event, and if you look in the changelog you can see my exact reasoning for the modifications I've made since then.
I don't think you need Togwaggle's Scheme. You can already consistently shuffle 30 extra cards into your deck every game, so it's not like fatigue is an issue. There also aren't that many good targets for it, only Tess, and while playing a Tess Greymane every single turn sounds pretty cool, it's really win more. By the time you get that going, you're probably already winning with Spectral Cutlass.
