I tried yours and it works great, at least onn EU at rank 15. ;) Really glad, I crafted Mecha'thun.
5-0 atm and it's really easy to play.
Naturalize is dead ! Going wild ! Don't use this deck !
Not going to wild for a few more weeks.. so why not use this deck if you wanna try it?
yeah everyone can write "1000000 win 0 lose with my deck" and provide no proofs :)
Drop that guide please!
i love play against this deck =))) just Skulking Geist and win! =)))
Congrats! Getting legend with mecha'thun deck deserves a round of applause.
I honestly don't know why people still play Mecha'Thun decks. They are so easy to tech against, glaringly obvious to identify, and usually easily beatable by one smart card play.....Mage, a well placed counterspell screws up the combo setting you up to take out M'T before it can be naturalised.....warlock, demonic project when druid has 3-4 cards left in hand... just to name a few options and lets not forget Hakkar and MojoMaster Zhi.
Mecha'thun had his day in the sun.....nothing more than a meme deck now
The only thing you'll find frequently from all of those options is counterspell (geist is also an insta concede tho). Meta makes this work still but I'd say with K&C on the verge of being banned this won't work at all in a month or two. Like the entire base of this deck is from that xp.
Well maybe it's just because I, personally, prefer to play more control style decks, but I haven't lost to a Mecha'thun deck in months, and I see VERY few of them on the ladder any more. As I said, it's more a meme deck now. It had it's moment when it was new and people were adjusting to combat it, but most decks now can deal with a Mecha'thun deck pretty easily, whether its aggro being too fast or control/OTK decks having ways to deal with it.
In Hearthstone nowadays you can't rely on a deck having one, and only one, shot to win. Look at the popular OTK decks at the minute, the have at least 2-3 ways of creating their win condition. For example, OTK priest has multiple ways to clone and resurrect their key minions time and time again to try and create their win conditions, and failing that have the original minions to fall back on if needed. Most other decks have mutliple ways of grinding you down. Mecha'thun will never be a consistent threat because it has ONE shot and one shot only. Any decent player should be able to interfere with that to foil the win condition or finish the match before it becomes an issue. People can downvote me all they want, but good players with decent understanding of the game can see the truth in what I'm saying
Really would love to see a guide about it! I like to play the deck, but I do play another list:
why you run 2 ironwood golems? I feel sometimes it's hard to get rid of them.
I play 2 spellstones and 2 biology projects instead; I also only play 1 swipe, but 2 branching paths which are really good I think.
It may be true that this deck is boring to play against, but there are tools on how to stop the combo and sometimes they are quite creative. The deck itself has a quite high learning curve and when you do it well it's pretty good to climb atm! Playing it for a few days and climbed from rank 5 to 3.
I would be interested in strategies for Matchups & Mulligan
People bitch and moan abotu this deck all the time but it really fucking sucks
And by sucks you means dominates
One of if not the worst deck ever in HS to play against. 'Boring' does not even begin to cover it. Whatever possessed them to invent a card like Mecha'thun is beyond me.
How this works against decks with geist and silence? and which are the deck bad matchups?
Against Skulking Geist you press concede and queue up your next match. I have seen a list somewhere that uses Voodoo Doll instead of Naturalize though. It could be a consideration if the Geist gets you down.
Your answer to Skulking Geist is Flobbidinous Floop
I might be a little bit late, but guys, what do you think about Floop's Glorious Gloop in this deck ?
And what would you replace it for ? Wrath maybe ?
I've heard the term "single player deck" several times but never has it been so perfectly personified in one deck quite like Mecha'thun Druid.
