Kripparrian just toyed with this idea for a deck in a recent YouTube video of his.
I thought I'd flesh it out and share it with y'all.
The idea is:
You play normal Evenlock, but if you get outvalued (which is often what happens vs. control), Mecha'thun is there to nuke your opponent.
To pull off the Mecha'thun OTK, you must:
1: Hit Mecha'thun with two Galvanizers.
2: Have Bloodbloom and Cataclysm in hand.
3: Have zero cards left in your deck.
Oddly enough, I think the deck is quite strong.
Enjoy!
Too slow! Evenlock gives up 9 (nine!) card draws from Kobold Librarian, The Soularium and Sense Demons. I like where you're going with this, but you didn't do the math :)
Here's a version that will typically win by aggro, and still have the OTK ready before Evenlock:

It also doesn't kill it's own minions with Defile, Hellfire, Doomsayers or Twisting Nether.
Hey there!
I was working on a similar deck. First of all, you need some self-damage for the spell stones and more demons for the hero card. Therefore, Vulgar Homunculus is a must here! You should definitely replace Sunfury Protectors with it.
Personal Changes: instead of doomsayers, ooze, spellbreaker, Lich King I included:
2 Primordial Drakes: Deck lacks 8 drops, potential zoolock, treant druid meta counter and one of the strongest control cards
1 Saronite Chain Gang and depending on the meta another saronite, a Dread Infernal: (deck lacks 6 drops, defile activator, self-damage, demon) or a Twisting Nether (in crucial times you can combo it with bloodbloom).
Mecha'thun is basically an unstoppable win condition against control decks in standard. Demonic Project is the only counter but it is for warlocks and a horrible card. Against other decks, you will probably win simply by playing the control game.
