I apologize in advance for my English. He is far from being, I use an translator for some (all, kappa) expressions.
At the moment on this deck, played about 70 games, winrate 64%. All games were in the rank of a legend.
Control loсk my favorite class, and before the last update I played on a similar deck about 500 games. Took a legend every month on it.
Сompared with the previous version, there are few new cards. But what:
Lord Godfrey - This is your table cleanup on the 7th move, with stats 4-4. This card greatly strengthened the deck.
Dark Possession] - a situational card, sometimes you can find a taunt, sometimes a charge to letal. Sometimes I say hello to Ben Broad.
I will complement and disassemble every match up, answering every question. In the meantime, I will describe the most important:
This deck is not afraid of aggro (unless your opponent is sent topdecks from Blizzard)
Against the control of matches, you must rely on Rin, the First Disciple. Remember that control vs. control is a fatig game. DO NOT take a lot of cards. Drink alcocol, talk with your girl (or boy, kappa) relax and spin Rin, the First Disciple, under the defend of your DK
Cubelock stopped being a very bad matchup without N'Zoth, the Corruptor. Now you are much stronger than him by resources. And all you need is to clean the table in time and close it from his DK
Later I will write it in more detail, I also compose another version of the control, which I'm testing for now. If it's good, you'll get it.
Maybe even win Blizzcon. Or one-class. if we get lucky. This is decided by Ben Broad.
Good luck to you, I will complement.
I completely forgot. The more upvotes you put, the better my English becomes. I do not know how it is interconnected, it's magic.
I remember the promise of a full guide, and in the near future I will do it.
The delay was caused by the fact that I broke my finger, dropping the props in the gym.
If you are told that sport is useful, do not believe it. Play HS.
I've seen Godfrey in just about every Warlock deck so far. Lot of cubelocks seem to have found a place for him.
Lord Godfrey is very good and important card and it is worth to craft. It's not must have in cubelock but it IS in most of cubelock variantions. So @pabaxe craft it.
This deck got me from like rank 8 to legend! I just replaced Zola for a Spellbreaker.
I cut dark possession and zola for mountain giants and replaced gnomeferatu with plated beetles. I love it
It's pretty tough. Basically, from my experience you can only win in fatigue, so Rin is your best bet. And watch your hand size because they run Naturalize.
Edit: another option is to pray to RNGesus and hope to burn their Hadronox with Gnomeferatu hehe
You can try to win through [card] Rin, the First Disciple[/card]
The most important thing is to properly allocate resources. This is a difficult matchup, but a winning one.
I replaced Zola with Faceless Manipulator and it helps a lot: one time I copied his cube which destroyed Hadronox haha Even just copying Hadronox itself is strong.
I'm gonna have to try this with a Cube like a couple others have said. I finally said screw it and spent all the dust I had and dusted some wild card to make this deck so I have a second deck to roll with. It was the most cancerous for me when I play may elemental mage so I'm hoping this will get me past that level 17 threshold I seem to live at near the end of the season.
You either make a cube or control. Mix everything into one and try to make a super universal deck - these are the errors of the lower ranks
Ive heard this and took rin out of my Cubelock deck and lost more games. I dont even have to go for rin but the threat changes the way my opponent plays and an extra taunt is not bad. It was easy enough to fit her in. That being said I will also try to play more pure control. Cubes can be good for control too as having two more voidlords can be an incredible wall.
Is Doomsayer expendable? If not, when do you play him? I've never really used this card so I don't know when's the right time to play it.
You want to use it to :
- make your opponent loose a turn, or destroy his board when he doesn't have the cards and board necessary to kill your Doomsayer
- make your opponent spend cards to get rid of it.
- make your opponent use damage they could have used on your face if they hadn't had to deal with your Doomsayer
Most of the time you want to play Doomsayer at turn 2 or 3 to stall and prevent early aggression. If you play against cubelock and you have the coin, play it on turn 3 to prevent a giant on turn 4. Also you can play it on a clean board after Twisting Nether to set up your Bloodreaver Gul'dan or just to reset the board
I'm missing Rin and Lord Godfrey, suggestions for replacement?
Rin doesn't have a replacement. But you can always try another value card like Elise.
Lord Godfrey is simply a board clear. You have several in the deck already; it's more of a tech option than a requirement. Sub in Voodoo Doll or maybe even Corrupting Mist.
not corrupting mist dont listen to him
You don't really explain why Lord Godfrey is in your deck.
Pretty obvious...
But in case you couldn't figure it out, it's a board clear with a body
quick question, is Zola the Gorgon really that important? I have the card but i just dont see how is that useful, also if i want to add in treachery and Howlfiend which card should i replace ?
