My latest Warlock Creation!
Thank you Kiwiinbacon for highlighting my deck!
Made some major changes, some inspired by feedback, others from playing with the deck a bit. There is room for experimentation with cards such as Mountain Giant and Bonemare, but from my plays so far, this bugger is freaking solid.
Basic Strategy.... Annoy the crap out of your opponent with early taunts and board control, then swing in late game with Bonemare, Marin and Bloodreaver Guldan
Important cards...
Gnomeferatu, she is amazing! she takes options away from your opponent and keeps the deck sizes comparable while you draw
Crazed Alchemist! OMG! this card is so underplayed and great in so many situations. He acts as a bonemare or a silencer and of course, he is a great combo with Marin
Marin the fox, that amazing unknown entity!
Stonehill Defender, lets you choose your taunts according to your opponent. Most often, you are looking to fill in your mana curve.
Basic Mulligan Strategy... good starting cards are Kobold Librarian, Gnomeferatu, Defile, Vulgar Humonculus, Stonehill Defender, and Helllfire and Lesser Spellstone
I keep Skulking Geist in my hand if I'm facing Druids, Rogues or Shamans. Most Priests are playing Big Spell Decks, but Skulking Geist can mess up a Raza deck.
I keep Rin if I am facing Warlock, Shaman, or Mage
When to play Dirty Rat? against a Rogue, ALWAYS! almost all of their cards are battlecry or combo. Against a Shaman, ALWAYS! your bound to pull something they want to evolve.
Otherwise, I try to wait until I have some removal in hand before dropping the rats. Don't ever play a rat early against a Warlock, 9 times out of ten you will pull a Mountain Giant or some other dastardly card.
You need to play smart. There is a little bit of pressing your luck involved. Don't waste your removals if the opponent can't smash you. many times you will have 2 or 3 taunts on the board, so let them play some other junk before you blow everything up.
The one deck that will destroy this is Kingslayer Rogue. Your best bet against them is to try and win early.
Paladins and Hunters are usually a pretty easy matchup. Your spellstones will keep your life total healthy and your critters will usually win the trade battles.
I'll include more if people are interested
You'll be amazed at how good this deck is if you give it a shot!
I'll post more replays, but here is an all out destruction of a tempo Rogue
https://hsreplay.net/replay/mGVu5pegrbT7VWsETiwgWm
vs spewing paladin https://hsreplay.net/replay/fGBdw9rGB9Dpc8J4i249Vg
vs Raza Priest https://hsreplay.net/replay/rVoyuVSxaqzGEop45XUC54
vs agro demon https://hsreplay.net/replay/iWChWic3h8nsbTpJGdFSU3
Kiwi plays a hunter on the replay. I actually don't have any saved
ta!
Lovely deck but maybe its a idea to update the guide because as example your mulligan says always mulligan for corridon but there not in the deck anymore
yeah play around with it, there's lots of room for experimentation.
I personally feel crazed alchemist is priceless, with or without Marin
The Spellstones are solid, even if they only do 3 imo. a lot of times, I just use them to help get the right numbers for defile to clear
one more note on crazed alchemist.....
picture a 6/2 rat. a 9/3 voidlord. very good for setting off defile, mage freezes your junk and then plays doomsayer, you can flip darkshire councilman and Rin, or your opponent's critters to kill them.
Pretty key cards, but everything is replacable.
Try Kabal Trafficker and Medivh if you have them.
OR>>>> Mountain Giants are always good
outdated deck, Corridor Creeper is after nerfs unplayable and not viable
updated, check it out
well, you're not supposed to just play the rats, but I did go 1 and 1 with my update
Yeah. I dusted my creepers and crafted Master Oakheart
Why Elise the Trailblazer and Marin the Fox instead of The Lich King or Medivh, the Guardian?
Lich king is really only good for one card unless your opponent's really bad. Medivh is a viable alternative. What Elise and Marin give you are long term options. But you can play lich if you prefer
Yikes! Druids can be tough. I always switch decks if i lose 3 games straight
hard ass counter for cubelock but i'm struggling against paladin and rogue need some advices
I'll post more replays. Tempo rogue and most pally decks should be easy meat
That replay is insane. That rogue shadowstepped prince twice! At least it was turn 7?
missed lethal on turn 11 tho
Yeah i kicked myself but still won
Corridor creeper should be taken out for Voidlord cause of the nerfs this coming weekend. Maybe cut one bonemare for a possessed lackey as it will be an 8 mana after the nerfs
I'm working on a post nerf alternative atm. Void Lords and Crazed Alchemist lol
9/3 demons baby
Cool deck!
I'm 8:3 but have trouble with Hunters. Any advice?? I used spellstone and I tried to avoid lifetap to maintain good health, but they have too much damage.
I had to make small changes cause of missing cards. I do not miss Rin (I even like Lich King as a replacement), but I still have no use for Marin...
Marin can be swapped with Elise or Medivh, any late game swing card honestly. I had good luck with Marin
