Hey guys,
The video says it all! I think we've reached Lynessa's Final Form! :) More description in the video, please take a look and let me know what you think!
*EDIT* I have made a few edits to the deck following the nerfs patch. I have added a couple of strong control utility cards with heavy card draw to help cycle to spells quicker. Buffing Lynessa more allows us to reallocate some of the "greed" cards like the drakes to some better midrange options to help ensure we get to the late game. Finally, I have replaced 1 Primalfin Champion with The Voraxx and would you believe that its not only fun, but feeling strong in this deck? Spells cast by The Voraxx do not double proc from the plant, but the plant spawns really give you a big "free" board to deal with before your Lynessa comes down.
+1 Wickerflame Burnbristle -2 Rallying Blade
+2 Corpsetaker -2 Primordial Drake
+1 Lay on Hands -1 Primalfin Champion
+1 Harrison Jones -1 Corridor Creeper
+1 The Voraxx

I originally was considering Dirty Rat because of the strong synergy with Call to Arms and anything to help vs. Raza Priest in this meta is well worth consideration. I felt the Rat was too difficult to play from hand in most situations though as this deck doesn't have much hard removal, and there are alot of Tempo decks running around the meta. That said, it may be that he does so well vs. aggro, Raza and with Call to Arms that he is still a stronger card than the Hydrologist. I will swap them out and see how that performs for a bit. :)
I wouldn't remove the Wickerflame Burnbristle or the Zola the Gorgon though, even for a welcome Rallying Blade. As you play through that please post your results here though...I'd love to see how that works out for you! :)
After a few games with Dirty Rat I found your original choice of Hydrologist to be more solid. There's just so much value from the secrets and playing Dirty Rat from your hand is like playing Russian Roulette. I considered Faerie Dragon for board stickiness, as it can't be targeted by spells or hero powers, but that's all you get from it, no secrets.
Dont Have Lynessa Sunsorrow or Zola the Gorgon, any ideas for replacements?
Could i replace with uther of the ebon blade?
Hey Infested, Zola is not core to this deck so you can replace with that 1x Mistress of Mixtures that i referred to in the YouTube video. I'm not so sure that this deck works as well without the Lynessa Sunsorrow as a lot of what the deck is doing is working with spells that pull double duty and I'm not sure I would use the same spells if I wasn't pulling them in a second time in this silence meta.
It may be that such a high value card as Uther of the Ebon Blade would serve as a suitable substitute, but i have my doubts. I'd love to hear your results though if you give it a shot! :)

I built a slightly similar deck a couple of days ago. Like yours, it makes use of legendaries like Lynessa, Tirion, Zola and N'Zoth, but it uses shield minions, which hopefully stick to the board, for buffs and synergy with Bolvar, Fireblood and Blood Knight.

ROFL....."he should've played around it." xD Too funny Cheese.
I get in Zola, Lynessa and Val'anyr in the last set of packs that i opened. This deck is a dream haha. The only card i miss is the Wickerflame. What do you think could be a replacement? What is the most important stat in this case, taunt? lifesteal?
thanks mate.
Probably the fact that he's a relatively low mana shielded taunt. I might replace him with a Corpsetaker or a second Saronite Chain Gang.
Wow, first of all congrats on the Pally pulls Perryfriend! >_<
Appreciate the kind words and I really hope you find the same success I have found with this deck! I will be posting some gameplay of the deck in the next couple of days as I find time which will help explain some things you may want to look for while playing the deck out, but it has been a high win rate and very fun deck for me! :)
Wickerflame is one of only 2 cards in this deck that will rotate out in the next expansion, so I would not recommend crafting it. That said, Wickerflame does what we are looking for from this spot extremely well....a low cost taunt that helps stabilize the board against aggro, and healing us up so he is a little hard to replace completely effectively. Thankfully Tar Creeper just happens to be a highly defensive stated taunt on turn 3 which can soak up 5 damage while dealing damage back to aggro boards....use him. :)
Good luck, and please let me know how the deck runs for you! :)

I like the idea of the deck ... kind of a Paladin's greatest hits. You've got Tirion Fordring, Lynessa Sunsorrow, Sunkeeper Tarim, Val'anyr and Wickerflame Burnbristle. They're ALL in there! (Except Ragnaros, Lightlord, and I kind of want to find a place for him just to have ALL the big pally legendaries in the deck.) I wonder, with no AOE removal removal of any kind and only one weapon, if it will be susceptible to aggro decks, but I'm looking forward to playing a few games with it and seeing how it works.
Is Hydrologist the best fit with Call to Arms or, if it gets pulled, is that just something you're willing to live with in this deck? Obviously, you want to mulligan for it to prevent that from happening. What about Primalfin Champion instead of Hydrologist for a chance to get some of your buff spells back into your hand?
Hey Warangel,
Very good observations and feedback, thanks! :) It's true there is no hard removal, but the Sunkeeper along with the weapons and usually having some kind of board do provide some good mid game soft removal help as you move into he mid game. Aggro has a hard time blasting through you fast enough with the armor stacking, early taunts and fast board this deck creates in the early game. Also, don't hesitate to use your Blessing of Kings or potion of heroism early in this deck since they are pulling double duty!
The key to my use of Call of Arms in this deck is that any minion that fuels the Call can be played well from hand as well, so you don't have "wasted Dire Wolf" syndrome. This is important as we are not aggro so we need our draws to matter. Hydrologist fits this mold perfectly...yes, from hand is better, but from Call to Arms is a useful 2/2 body, which combined with a couple of buddies means you often will get a body to stick on the board for your turn so you can buff a minion up. I have considered Primalfin, but in playtesting I fin the Hydrologist secret utility too important to certain matchups...Noble Sac vs. aggro, Eye for an Eye vs Raza Priest or Ice Block...or of course the Getaway Kodo staple with so many minions in this deck. :)
Really good thoughts and feedback once again Warangel, if I had a little more space in the deck I would look for a spot for Primalfin. :) If you haven't done so already, I would highly suggest you give my YouTube video a quick watch, it's posted above, and I go over the many deck choices that I made with this deck.
Regards,

Good question, but I don't feel the Spellbreakers are needed. This deck is not trying to aggro overrun in the early game, and has alot of late game power to win in the late game. As useful as a Spellbreaker would be, it seems a luxury in this deck and the cards that are in have important synergy that I wouldn't want to cut.
Take a look at the video if you would like more of a description of the card choices in the deck. :) I will be posting some gameplay videos in the next couple of days when i have some time. :)
Thanks for the feedback and let me know if you play the deck! :)

No spellbreakers?
