This card holds a special place in my heart out of respect thanks to a particularly evocative arena game involving this little dude.
I was playing against a Mage. Ahead in terms of board and health, I had drafted a Deathwing in my deck, which was sitting in my hand, begging to be played. I was probably going to win the game for sure given the current state of the game, but I was feeling kinda cocky (this would later turn out to be a huge, huge mistake, as you're about to discover). After smacking my opponent with my lackeys and threatening lethal (by reducing the health pool to below 12 HP), I played Deathwing, who promptly incinerated my board (and my hand). I smugly ended my turn. Another arena game in the bag, I thought to myself.
Enter this little minion-freezing motherfucker, who turns my opponent's hero power into a makeshift Frost Shock. The shit-eating grin I had initially wore on my face quickly transformed into an expression that can be roughly translated to "fuck my life". The mage then proceeded to summon an insurmountable army of minions who effortlessly crushed my inferior topdecked draws. Needless to say, I lost.
If there was anything positive that came out of that match, it was that I gained a new friend on Battle.net that day (who personally told me that she metaphorically shat herself upon seeing my Deathwing drop into the battlefield, implying that to add to all the ridiculousness, she had actually TOPDECKED the damn Ice Walker), and learnt two new, extremely valuable lessons: one, that Deathwing should only be used as a LAST RESORT, and two, that there's more than meets the eye when it comes to this unwitting little ice elemental.
Just did some matches recently with this guy. Obviously great freeze support, even better if you get said freeze cards with RNG spells like Ruby Spellstone.
Felt really good to stunlock Rogues spamming Kingsbane with my Hero Power in the early game. Tar Creeper and other elementals kept it alive. Then I got it again from Servant of Kalimos in the late game and made his 7 ATK Lifesteal Kingsbane useless.
People always overlook the little guys until they troll you to death.
I'd really like to make a comment on this card.
It is one of the underratted mage tech cards. 1/3 stat line is comparable for 1 mana cards. Eventhough you have a perfect curve, playing this card on turn two is equilavent of taking your opponent as a moron.
But, this card has an immidiate effect like frost bolt or glacial shard and also it's effect iscan be maintainable. that's what make this card strong.
Against a pirate warrior when you draw this card, you are safe from weapon attacks on exact turn. that is the biggest difference apart from water elemental. when you draw a frost bolt, you may saved a turn. but this little shit is annoying enough to win you a game.
To be honnest, it only hard counter pirate warriors when you can maintain board control but lack of time. it is pirates "eater of secret", against non-secret classes just a trash.
sorry for bad englando
I thoughtstole this as priest, and sure enough, my hero power would freeze whatever it healed. Pretty neat.
wolud be good if the effect is permanent. i don't think this card will be used that much.
Wow you missed the hell out of that target. Turns out spending your turns using a hero power instead of playing useful minions is not great. It's a 2 mana 1/3. Good card for stalling, can snowball a little if you have board advantage, but it dies easily. Vicious Fledgling could be unkillable for several turns.

Imagine Hunter gets it and become Kel'Thuzad with Frost Blast
Somehow ending up with this card as Warlock would be hilarious
Awful card , as much as I can see. I tried elemental mage for some time, made one deck that uses as 1 drop Fire Fly and Mana wyrn. I telling this because thats the point : Mana wyrm cost one mana and can grown gigantic. Its not a elemental but secures the early game and is a ok threat in the late game. Its better then this card here
Would a warlock with this freeze himself?
I think not, It says the target. Unless you are targeting anything with your hero power it wont freeze
Sad that Rogue can't burgle this then freeze enemies with her weapon.
Ice Walker where i heard that before, ohh yes #GameOfThrones.
But the card isn't bad at all, 1dmg and freez perfect for mage.
It's basically Fallen Hero but with freeze synergy. Still easy to remove and only okay.
You're telling me on turn 4 you think doing 1 damage + freeze to a single target and playing a 1/3 is good against aggro?
Gee, would be nice if we already had a 4-mana card that dealt minor damage and froze targets. Ice Walker+Fireblast is good, but I was thinking, maybe something with AoE too? Oh, well...
But yeah, playing a 1/3 on turn 4 is never good against aggro, way better to coin this out and Hero Power on turn 2 to stall. Then again, you'd be pinging a 1/1 or 2/1 that dies anyway, so you're better off playing Arcanologist or something. Maybe Golakka Crawler if you really wanna tech against aggro.
its funny that's a 2 mana Mana Wyrm is better then this card. Should be 2/3 or 3/2.
ice walker is better :P
