I don't think it's possible to play this card without the buff.
Of course it is, it's just a 4/6 Taunt.
Life comes at you fast.
Aggro will not have the easiest time running over a class that is reliably spawning 2/1 rush minions.
Reliably is stretching it. If you made it to turn 7 and played Galakrond you probably already had a massive advantage before.
Because there aren't that many invoke cards and most of them are high cost and badly statted. The double Battlecry dude is 5 mana. And for a 3/3 and only two 2/1s. 4 mana for a 2/2 rush with a 2/1 rush? A 5 mana 4/5 Taunt and the freeze spell are the others. You won't even run all of them, as it would be detrimental in other matchups (and most are already bad against aggro as well).
Lightning Breath helped by Storm is what will save it from Aggro, plus the dragons with rush. The hero power will just be icing on the cake.

Hm... it's a very interesting condition and buff. Without the buff it's terrible, and aggro will run you over while you invoke, will probably just be played, and if, in long value matches where it would be easier to trigger the condition.
