Master Oakheart looks interesting, since he can recruit three cards with 7 health. Just sayin'.
It certainly looks that way, but is there any official confirmation? It wouldn't be the first time that Blizzard printed inconsistent wording on cards. And while Mike Donais confirmed on reddit that Star Aligner counts himself in the 3 required 7-health minions, he said nothing in this thread about the exact health requirement.
Emperor Thaurissan hits these cards: Public Defender (1) + Public Defender (1) + Brann Bronzebeard (2) + Star Aligner (6) = 14 damage to all enemies and a decent board for 10 mana.
Perhaps it is not worth it to run this combo on its own, but I can see it being pulled off as a whacky board clear + burst. With Grommash Hellscream and Iron Juggernaut you can dish out a lot of unconventional damage.
I also think people are forgetting the minions MUST all have 7 health, no more and no less (Compare with the Fight Promoter text) which means you will need to damage minions with higher health to pull this off.
This is why Star Aligner is better in priest. You can tinker your minions healths ! :)
Let's not forget that Fight Promoter triggered her effect if she was hand-buffed enough. She didn't need another card on the field. I'm sure the same goes for Star Aligner as well.
I don't think this makes him any more playable, just pointing that out!
A clarification that I want to find out: does the effect not work if we have more than three 7-health minions? (thus, requiring exactly three minions?)
You could activate this with two giants and a Whirlwind effect. Only problem is the classes with whirlwind effects (Priest and Warrior) don't have a Giant that can reliably get the cost cheap enough to combo in standard. And the classes with Giants that they can consistently discount (Druid and Shaman) don't have whirlwind effects.
Arcane and Molten Giant in Warrior or Priest with Spirit Lash or Whirlwind could work in Wild, but will this battlecry even do much in wild?
Here's what I'm thinking--
Turn 9: Hadronox on curve
Turn 10: Crypt Lord + Star Aligner
Plus it's compatible with Odd Druid, which I LOVE playing.
Well, Crypt Lord text says: 'AFTER you summon a minion' , so i'm not actually sure if the battlecry of this one will trigger. Curious tho
taunt druid card
Soupe des larmes de l'adversaire
Ingredients:
-Charged Devilsaur
-Silver Vanguard or Kathrena Winterwisp
-Carnivorous Cube
-Dark Pact or Play Dead
-Star Aligner
Step 1: Recruit a fresh Charged Devilsaur from your Deck with minion of your choice and apply slight amounts of salt to your opponents face,
Step 2: Dice your Devilsaur into nice, evenly sized cubes. Glaze them in sauce carnivore and let them rest for 1 turn.
Step 3: Place your cubed Devilsaur in your opponents face. Add a Star Aligner to apply heat.
Step 7: Season to taste. Serve with emotes.
Battlecry: If your playing Arena and your opponent is Kripp, pull this off and break him.
that´s a pretty simple combo right you play this in your Meat Wagon Warlock if you have Meat Wagon on board you just sacrifice it, it pulls your Summoning Portal then you play your double Mogu'shan Warden and the Star Aligner for just 9 Mana :)
Someone needs to be fired.
for barnabus druid may be. good way to clean an enemy board without spells
With velen on board (somehow still alive) you can play vivd nightmare on velen + circle of healing into star aligner for 28 damage to all enemies (most likely clearing your opponent's board) and finish him with velen's attack.
Edit : nevermind velen only double the damage from spells and hero power, not minions battlecry...
Imho this card belongs in Odd-Priest if that is ever going to work
I like this card :)
