Wow
what'd I miss? Also sorry for typing errors on my other post should never stay up that long...
[edit] I see, he was saying random cards and was just trolling, my bad.
save to assume they officially lost their shit all the way to the fucking moon
Wtf is this blizz? A joke?
Why not taking this on A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL and adding a third or fourth explaination instead?! :DDD
Battlecry: Cast 'Inner Fire' on all minions in your deck. {Change their Attack to be equal to their Health [Take the Health, subtract by the Attack, then add the result to the Attack (Subtract the value in the red section on the right of the card with the value in the yellow section on the left of the card and perform addition with the obtained value off of the subtractions with the value in the yellow section)]}
Going off of Firebat's list (this one), this card sticks out like a sore thumb. The only creatures to get more than 1 attack are Stormwind Knight, Netherspite Historian, Northshire Cleric and Twilight Acolyte, with the rest of the minions have either health equal to it's attack or only 1 more health than attack. Meanwhile, both Twilight Acolyte and Twilight Drake are actively hurt by this, with the first giving your opponents creature the dreaded 4 attack and the other having 1 attack and some high amount of health.
The reason why the Inner Fire deck works well is because you can pump up the health to some absurd amount and then Inner Fire it. This card just doesn't do that as it doesn't let you interfere with health of minions before you Inner Fire them.
Your second point also does not make much sense as once an opponent knows your playing Inner Fire Priest, they have to just not let you keep any minions out, making stupid trades or wasting boardwipes/single target removal to just prevent the combo. Having high attacks turn these small, defenseless (for the most part) 1-2-3 attack minions into an actual threat and makes them get targeted more. The only thing being sacrificed in this would be ability to surprise somebody with absurd amounts of burst.
What minion can use this card in conjunction with?
Northshire Cleric 1mana 3/3.
Doomsayer 2 mana 7/7 .
DIrty Rat 2 mana 6/6 taunt.
Drakkari Enchanter 3 mana 5/5, double end turn effect.
Injured blademaster 3 mana 7/3.
Lone champion 3 mana 4/4 taunt divine shield.
Mindbreaker 3 mana 5/5 disable hero power.
Silverback patriach 3 mana 4/4 taunt.
Stonehill defender 3 mana 4/4 taunt + discovery taunt.
Tar creeper 3 mana 5/5 taunt (7/5 taunt in enemy turn).
Tortoliann shieldraiser 4 mana 6/6 taunt.
Mogu'shan Warden 4 mana 7/7 taunt(new meme i guess).
Stormwind knight 4 mana 5/5 charge.
Gurubashi berserker 5 mana 7/7 +2 atk each hit.
Ancient of blossom 6 mana 8/8 taunt.
Hungry Ettin 6 mana 10/10 taunt.
Stormwatcher 7 mana 8/8 windfury.
Primordial Drake 8 mana 8/8 taunt , deal 2 dmg all minion.
Grand Archivist 8 aman 7/7 . cast spell at end turn.
Obsidian statue 9 mana 8/8 taunt lifesteal + destroy minion when it die.
All 4/12 dragon.
Maximum meme : Ultrasaur 10 mana 14/14!! yup bigger than deathwing.
I also found 2 minions with whom this card does not compatible:
Twilight Drake (becomes 1-1)
Twilight Acolyte (breaks battlecry)
At first glance, yeah this card looks really strong. Issue comes in though when you have to draw it early on or else all your low attack big health minions are going to stay that way. Building any deck around a single card is a horrendous idea unless you have some form of tutor/way to search your deck for a copy of one, which priest lacks.
The reason why Inner Fire is a strong card in recent metas is solely for the fact of Shadow Visions as it lets you 'tutor' for a spell you need to make the combo work, whether that be Inner Fire itself or Divine Spirit to make the combo deal more damage, it all relies on Shadow Visions to make it run smoothly. This card on the other hand, is great when you draw it early, and going off of the list provided in this forum post(scroll down for the singleton version), it has around a 37.8% chance to draw the card by that turn. Only after turn 11 does the chance to draw it pass 50%, which for a card that you build a deck around, isn't that great.
Knowing how priests have played in the last year or so however, this isn't going to change anything though as they always have Raza on 5 and DK on 8 so this is just going to become Lady on 6. This card I guess is still playable if you draw it late, but not to the extent that everyone thinks it's going to be.
Sound funny to be atleast(not another uninteractived combo.)
If that is what the meta comes down to, this meta will become just as lame as the KFT meta. If the meta literally turns into whoever gets their lady out first then the game will become even less skill orientated and everybody is going to throw a fit about how the game in uninteractive as hell. If it turns out my analysis is wrong (which while I don't think I am, I'm fine with being wrong) then this expansion is just going to be lame.
I can see why she's casting so much Inner Fire, she's gone blue with cold! Maybe wear a coat before going haunting?
12/12 Ysera sounds really balanced. Interesting mechanic though because (as far as we know) minions in deck won't be buffed with any other health boost so it would enforce priest to play low attack, high health minions. Or they will just print a sister that will go "cast Divine Spirit...
Most powerful card of the set. Priest meta coming...
who thought this was a good idea
Quite possibly it will be in need of nerf. The card seems VERY strong. But the art, man! Simply gorgeous.
