Someone in the forum thread pointed out the temporary Mana Crystals evaporate immediately when used. Because the spell first consumes your Mana then does the effect, I believe it'll only trigger off the permanent Crystals.
Something tells me this could be a sleeper hit that makes some form of zoo druid viable again. Sure against devolve it sucks (or mass dispel if anyone ever puts that card in their deck) but otherwise it's 10/10 for 5, more importantly it's a single card that demands an aoe answer on its own. Sure your opponent could leave the treants up and leave you with 1 mana next turn but at the cost of 1/3 of their total hp, they still need to deal with the minions at some point, and mark of the lotus could become a very real threat.
Turn 10: Double Savage Roar.
that combo is actually insane and it works that way.
I don't think so.
Innervate gives you temopary mana crystals and I think this card removes PERMANT mana crystals, So it won't but I guarantee wild growth does work with it.
If you look at the token Mana Treant it says "Deathrattle: Gain an empty Mana Crystal." which mean it should work.
Unless like you say, temporary Mana Crystal aren't counted as "real" one. Gotta love how unclear card text are in hearthstone....
High risk, high reward. Will be hilarious.
If you're going to assume that this card will always be "hard countered" by cards like Devolve and Mass Dispel, of course it's a risk, but so is any other given situation in it's worst case scenario. (Can't say Mirror of Doom is horrible just because Death Wing exists)
The worst thing about this card is that your Mana will stays de-ramped if you don't use the card as trade.
Upside is, well on cruve, it's a 10/10 for 5.
If you Innervate and play this, well the Mana will disappear at the end of your turn, but you'll get those mana back permanently when the given minion die. Which is great value(the innvervate mana becomes permanent through the minions, making it a ramp card).
Depending on what other ramp Druid gets, this card is slightly above average good imo. If there will be more temp mana until end of this turn, well this card can be incredible for ramp.
Terrible. Devolve and mass dispell is nightmare. And treants gives empty mana crystal. That means you can't play minion after you trade it. Instant 100 dust.
Terrible because two classes each have a single card that can make this a nightmare? Hmm...you might want to rethink terrible. I think this is going to be used to great success against zoo and board flood decks.
The token says deathrattle summon an empty mana crystal. That is quite the overload effect, even at full value. I think it is only good with innervate
look tokens.
#Devolve
That card really really reeeeeeally sucks ...A LOT!
-It's only reasonably playable on turn 5, 6 or 7
-Weak to silence, transform and stealing effect
-Basically overload you for each mana you spent to summon garbage minions
But you forget silence doesn't exist in the meta even back when c'thun was running around the only aoe transform is devolve and that doesn't see much play and the only stealing effects are sylvanas (who is rotating out) and mctech which target 1 your argument here is completely invalid plus if you used this at 7 mana you'd in essence get a 14/14 for 7 so the stats are good worst case scenario is your opponent has a board clear and wastes a turn otherwise this is a better unbuffed dopplegangster
You're being overly certain. If it gets innervated out, you ramp up permanently when they die. Yes, if it becomes meta, there are several ways to play around it with stealing effects from Priest, MCT, transforms, silence, but as an off-meta deck, it could be a strong play, and a way to contest the board. Or you could even save an innervate and Savage Roar for a surprise next turn lethal.
But I agree that if you innervate out it becomes pretty strong. Maybe is not bad as I mention before but I still refuse to imagine that card being in meta
Pilfering Power will see more play as a result.
mass dispel meta incoming kappa
no, the tokens do say "deathrattle"
