I don't care if this will see play or not in competitive play but this is just disappointing and boring for an old god..
Such a boring design for one of the strongest entities in wow lore, really disappointing.
ok
Well, what would you suggest as a good replacement? I don't see simplicity as a bad thing, and if you wanna say that a legendary needs to have an unique, specialized effect, King Krush.
Honestly, this seems like a pretty good effect. It won't see much use, but it's the type of card that you build a deck around, just like C'Thun, where you include cards that buff him, and N'Zoth, the Corruptor, where you'd include strong Deathrattle cards like Cairne Bloodhoof
So, we get a weaker neutral Varian Wrynn that only pulls a minion from your deck at the end of your turn. Hooray? It seems like such an underwhelming ability to slap onto a powerful old god.
well, its bit better than varian wrynn, stat wise
Step 1: Get Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound in your starting hand.
Step 2: Turn 9 coin and play Y'Shaarj.
Step 3: Y'Shaarj puts Zombie Chow into the battlefield.
Step 4: Become legendary.
Kappa
Get this from a Confessor paletress. Value!
Or Sneed's Old Shredder
If it will put Ragnaros the Firelord or Emperor Thaurissan will their effect be activated at the end of this turn?
Probably not, historically end of turn effects are checked for first then resolved. I.e. Thaurissan back from KT doesn't activate his effect.
yes
Shitty varian?
I'm a bit disappointed, no Shas? Like the art though.
Astral Communion
This sure is worst than C'Thun and N'Zoth the Corruptor.
C'thun will probably have a bigger body, so the 10/10 isn't realy the highlight of the card. Plus C'thun's BattleCry can end game.
Y.Shaarj won't trigger the minions BattleCry, which is really bad. And if you try t oplay a deck with no BattleCrys, only DeathRattle minions, you might as well play N'Zoth.
N'Zoth is better cuz you can put up to 7 minions in the board with just 10 mana.
it's true
Why not both
A bit underwhelming. C'thun had his own deck archetype, and N'zoth will probably have his own archetype. This guy doesn't seem nearly as powerful - however, he does have much stronger stats than the other two, and is one of the only 10-mana legendaries with a reasonable, not-insane effect.
I like it. It'll see some play. But just like the expansion it came from, this legendary sucks.
