I feel like the most interesting matchup for this card is a control Paladin, like the one blizzard seams to be pushing with cards like Forbidden Healing and the new legendary for Paladin, Ragnaros.
On one hand, cards like Aldor and Keeper are useless. The attack just resets, and that takes away a large part of the Paladins removal tools.
However, a big component for control Paladin in the past was Stampeding Kodo, which wrecks this card 3 ways from Sunday. The tempo loss is to extream, and would let the paladin catchup for a massive heal or a big drop.
So, I say cautiously that this cards playability is directly correlated to how popular Paladin is. Now, if that means more or less play is yet to be seen, but it will certainly be an interesting series of plays none the less. Interesting card and design, happy to see Blizzard experimenting with cards like this.
I just realized that you can't buff the attack of this card.. o.O
kappa
"I knew it!"
This card is even worse than frostwolf warlord. If it started at 1 attack then it might at least be fun in hobgoblin decks.
Exactly what I was about to say.
Eh, you can have him. Guy always looked at me funny anyway.
not likely this expansion is trying to destroy aggro and cabal helps with that.
This is also one the few cards that's a target for both shadow word death, and pain.... not really good against Priest I guess.
Nobody is saying this, but an interesting counter to Big Game Hunter.
that art! <3
So... Is this a new Fel Reaver? It dodges both BGH and Aldor Peacekeeper, which both were brutal against his mechanical ancestor. Also, it doesn't burn your deck, but if decking was your concern, you just played something else.
On the other hand - It is little smaller and does nothing when you are losing on the board.
So...is this a new Fel Reaver? Yes! But only in constructed and prob. just for decks that can keep the board.
Yeah, that is why I wrote it dodges the peacekeeper. Am I missing something?
Aldor Peacekeeper just can't seem to get this guy to follow the rules...
Turn 1 Druid, double innervate into Validated Doomsayer. I can see it happening, even though that is really situational.
i can see Validated Doomsayer and Corrupted Healbot be the new Fel Reaver for the Standard format
I can already imagine fail videos where a priest Inner Fires this minion.
So if this guy gets Aldor Peacekeeper'd I guess he'll just revert to 7 attack at the start of your turn... xD
