Posted Jan 12, 2024 (Winter Veil Buffs & Nerfs)This is an interesting card. Depending on what "take" and "give back" mean, it could be incredible, or below average. If taking your weapon activates the deathrattle, that's really good. Rogue already loves playing the Bloodrock Co. Shovel. The "give it back" part is a bit confusing though. If "giving it back" means it returns to hand, that's okay for cheap weapons, which are really popular right now.
Meanwhile, if giving it back means putting the weapon back into play with the previous durability, that basically makes this a worse version of Doomerang, which was only really good in Kingsbane Rogue. Either way, this seems pretty good with Swordfish or Crabatoa. Being able to play Swordfish again is nice.
The main problem is that most Rogue and Demon Hunter decks don't run a lot of weapons, and you need to draw this with a weapon. Which makes it really inconsistent. That means this card is usually a 1 mana 1/1, which is horrible. After talking through this, it probably doesn't see play.
