Dunno why this is being downvoted.
No. Usually blizz releases it around 10am pst. Mobile takes hours to update, so closer to 2-4pm pst for mobile devices.
i dunno too why they downvoted me, thanks for the reply mate :)
I’m glad blizzard finally decided to remove the stagnation between the expansions with mini sets
true, though I somehow doubt that it's gonna be permanent
Thanks for your insight.
I am still doubting because indeed, the value is just very high for 2000 gold.
Blizzard is moving from:
- many F2P but we make our money from the few that buy packs to
- many, cheaper micro transactions from more people
The price for this mini release is cheap compared to Blizzard’s traditional model and I’m sure that many F2P players (until now) will buy it and keep their gold for the next release.
There are also all these perks now that didn’t exist before which are not targeting whales but the average player
Is this small indie company missing a spell check software? Really hope the spelling on Bola Shot doesn't go live. I am not a native English speaker and still know, like many others I'm sure, the difference between "it's" and "its".
Its (lol) becoming more and more acceptable to use one for the other. Why not spell it "it is neighbors", see if anyone notices?
That's not Blizzard's fault. That's ours when we created the card for our Database. Blizz only "fault" is that they have not uploaded the official art for these cards yet and we are thus left with handmade cards and low quality art images.
I'll get it fixed shortly. :)
EDIT: Fixed now. Thanks for the correction!
It looks like it's only on Hearthpwn's page. It's correct over here: https://playhearthstone.com/en-us/news/23609762
I was quite enthusiastic about the '2000 gold to buy the whole mini set' news because as a f2p it would be a pain to get these cards out of packs as I only opened 70-80 DMF packs so my collection is not even close to complete.
But looking at these cards, they seem like fun but there does not seem to be a lot of musthaves.
Besides that, there are 4 legendaries and only 1 epic (2 copies of course) and my goal is not to have a complete set but to only have the cards I want.
I have 15 unopened packs, and after opening those, I can craft any cards that seem to be worth it and I can save the 2000 gold for the next expansion.
I have similar feelings about the card quality. But make no mistake, the 2000 gold is almost always worth it, even if you just spend it to bank dust. Getting 4 legendaries, 2 epics and 28 rares in 20 packs is close to impossible normally. Disenchanting every single card from that purchase, you'd make 2440 dust for 2000 gold.
With those 15 unopened packs, you could say that you get the commons and most of the rares anyway and spending 2000 gold just get extra copies of the few cards in the set that you actually want, but in terms of min-maxing dust, you are still better off spending the 2000 gold. Also keep in mind that 15 packs wouldn't even get you all the rares. You could get the remaining with ladder rewards, but again, if you ultimately want more dust, you get a good amount for a relatively low price here.
Finally, if there's legendary or epic in the "main" set that you wouldn't mind finding in a pack, you are again better off purchasing the mini-set first. Even though many of the main Darkmoon legendaries aren't that good either, I'd rather find something like G'huun the Blood God in a pack than Moonfang. I'd take the chance to "clean up" the pool of legendaries I can still find in packs.
I don't want to talk you into anything. It's your choice and if you don't want to spend 2000 gold, that's fine. And I understand that some people only want the "good" cards in their collection. But I think, even from that perspective, it's a good investment.
Still no gold for next expansion and new cards bad as always
... so why do you play the game anymore?
in my opinion the reward system turned out great. I have a ton of gold which previously didn't happen. I got my hero portret just by playing some daily games and now I just get a mini expansion which i can purchase from rewards!!!
> have more gold
> spend more gold on mini-expansion
how is it much different? i did get the new potrait, which is nice :-), but i did also spend more time on the game.
The difference is more content without turning in more expensive play.
Normally, you obtained like 6k of gold between expansions. With the new rewards track you get from 3k to 5k more depending if you have Battle Pass (this is by only achieving daily quests and weekly quests). And this only costs 2k. So, you got yourself from 1k to 3k of gold AND 35 cards AND also all the packs you get from the reward tracks. How is it that something bad mate? Do the math before complaining, it's not that hard.
You still get less than before and buying battle pass with 2k doesn’t compensate shit. Plus you’re getting more cards to spend gold or dust on, so when the next expansion comes you have less.
The reward system turned out bad and greedy, there is nothing good about it
Full of pack fillers and nothing really interesting or meta-changing. They won't see play
The fact that they sell cards for gold, not just for money, seems more important to me, than cards themselves (nothing for my DH here, obviously). It brings up memories about good old Naxxramas. I dearly hope it's not one-time thing, and they'll continue to sell goods using ingame currency (I'd say that it can even cost more).
