I was planning to skip the adventure, but Frenzied Felwing is why I ultimately decided to buy. It is sad to see that there is no apology for selling the adventure with alluring cards only to be nerfed shortly after. A gold refund for that wing should be granted, and they won't even provide a dust refund for the card?
As far as I am concerned, you don't have to buy any adventure, it was your choice. Let's say that you paid for an amazing adventure, not for a few cards. Nowadays adventures work slightly different than a few years ago. Have a look at 2 previous ones - you were buying them for fun, only a few packs were provided as a "bonus" let's say. Soo here you got a few cards instead of packs)
@iceRNGR I think you are 100% right
A little late for an April Fool's joke Blizzard. What are the real nerfs?
Just that? Completly shit.
So echo was nerfed so you couldn’t stack multiple magnetic minions infinity in the same turn. Why can’t that logic correlate to spells as well? Sorcerer’s Apprentice is literally the lynchpin for quest mages. Team 5 has to change the text or increase the mana cost. Changing the mana cost will still allow for the combo potential to be there for future decks. I’m tired of facing Giantlock mage edition.
I’d of liked to have seen more buffs. Unfortunately I don’t see the 1 mana change to Libram of Justice pulling my beloved Libram Paladin out of the depths of the recycling bin.
sacrificial pact should have jaraxus removed from pool of targets you can use it to(jaraxus that is on board should still die.
bloodbloom = 3 mana 2/3 your charge minions have +1 attack.
next nerfs will be to secret mage.
open the waygate. im just gonna complete my quest on turn 5. same turn as before the nerf. if something this is buff. questing explorer will more likely draw you card.
Why are People so obsessed with that sacraficial pact Jarraxus interaction? He hasn't seen play for years and the card has nothing to do with that
Tiny-ass nerfs are tiny.
I don't know how I keep getting disappointed, but I find a way.
We Paladins, its in our nature to be disappointed even if its not meant to be. But I have a feeling, inside of my holy heart, that next expansion Paladin will rise again. Mark my words, we will get a new Archetype.
I know most people here don't care, but I'm actually a bit underwhelmed by Open the Waygate...
I mean, they said that decks like Quest Mage and Darkest Hour feel unhealthy. It might be enough to remove the latter (and good riddance), but this change doesn't exactly make Quest Mage "healthy". Delaying the Quest by 2 spells is sometimes not even a full turn. It's hardly enough to offset the big buff that came from Evocation. Sometimes, the deck doesn't even need the Time Warp to win, since a good draw lets you win with rampant Flamewakers and 0 mana Giants before you even bother wasting 5 mana.
It might be enough to discourage Highlander Mages in Wild to use the quest, since they have fewer spell generators and need to diversify their gameplan. But then again, without the quest, Highlander Mage would just lose to Highlander Priest, so they'll probably continue using it. And Highlander Mage outstalls most other decks just fine with Ice Block and Reno, so they can probably deal with the delay.
It's good to know that extreme Darkest Hour highrolls won't happen very often anymore, if at all. I actually didn't encounter that deck very often, but when it happened, it was dumb, and I can understand why people really hated it. But as for the quest, it's not really the change I was expecting.
Most of the other nerfs are also surprisingly fair. I expected Kael to go up to 8, or Altruis losing the face damage. But I'm honestly fine with smaller changes in Standard, instead of killing cards completely.
And as little as it matters, I'm glad that Lord Jaraxxus is "playable" again, in the sense that you can't instantly lose to Zephrys anymore. Sacrificial Pact is now more in line with Dark Pact. Still alright for some decks, and we might get more demons like Voidcaller someday.
time to craft golden open the waygate
Anybody see the new meta they talked about?
these nerds are all a joke. blood bloom is okay. way gate: won’t change much. kael: what the heck???? and then: no dust for frenzied??? i bought the adventure after the news of the nerfs just because of that....
So you bought the adventure with gold/money instead of buying packs so that you can get 200 dust from DEing two cards instead of netting that or more dust from packs?
Genius.
Pure unadulterated IQ 200 move, sir.
If you spend 20$ for the adventure for that reason you are not as smart as you think
yeah, i have to admit, my wording was pretty bad there :D
of course i did not buy the adventure *only* because of that.
i never considered the adventure nor the cards interesting enough. but now with the nerfs i was thinking that *if* i change my mind later, i would regret not to have bought the adventure when there was bonus dust in it. so just because of the nerfs i got enough incentive to buy the adventure now, without the nerfs i would have waited the adventure out :D
Good?
