Yong Woo Leaves Blizzard - Joins Ben Brode at Second Dinner
Yong Woo, Hearthstone's Production Director, has left the company. He joins Ben Brode and Hamilton Chu at the new Second Dinner game studio.
Another two Hearthstone employees quit in recent time, Michael Schweitzer and Jomaro Kindred, who are also at the studio. There are now five ex-Hearthstone team members working at Second Dinner.
Quote from Yong WooAfter 9 epic years at Blizzard, I am embarking on a new adventure. Thank you for your love and support over the years. I'm super excited to join @seconddinner to build something new & amazing together!
Quote from Second DinnerThe team is growing! Say hi to our newest teammates!

I played a lot of MTG privately and publicly and love that game. What the folks at Blizzard did with Hearthstone is nothing short of amazing.
Do you have a source for "in steady decline for some time now"?
What the fuck have you been smoking???
Since the person he describes is pretty much the opposite of Brian Kibler, chances are he might be talking about a different one. I mean, there are other people with that last name.^^
See ya
RIP Lone Champion
Jian-Yang !!!!
Next you're gonna tell me this is a small indie company, pfft.
Are they making a TCG?
They should get Kibler the "Dragon Master" on board to help them design cards as well.
#BrodesDreamTeam
Please no, Kibler is one of worst HS players ever. I'd rather be satisfied with cringy Thijs than Kibler. He is bottom of bottoms in terms of entertainment and skill regarding his hearthstone career...
He is a magic hall of famer though and is good at actually designing cards.
he is pretty good at playing mtg tho
Forgot to mention Kibler also fakes his persona
Its nothing personal, long time ago i've seem a video of Kibler displaying his true persona, i guess it was an outburst after losing too early against a pre-nerf quest rogue deck.
I wonder why i can't find the full video anymore lol.
wow, how on earth did that make people angry? ha.
were those downvotes for kibler? :D
Yeah Deck_Fiend, your comentary was imparcial Kibler's fanboys are just losing their minds over here hahaha.
I hold nothing against Kibler, every person has outbursts from time to time and his was quite understantable, my problem is that Kibler pretends to be someone he is not just to please his audience. He proven to be quite a dick through his outburst, even fooled me with his "nice guy persona".
I have many friends that are legit "nice" and neither, not a single time in their life, had close to that behavior Kibler displayed during his outburst.
Do you mean this "outburst", where he conceded and said "cool"? Or there was something, which is not shown here? I am not defending him, just curious.
I can't remember if it was in that video but in case it is the one, it happens right after that ending.
He was smiling and talks a bit more about how stupid fast that deck is, then all of a sudden he gets angry, loses his composture, calls players who are piloting it morons and gets violent smashing his table then shutdown his stream.
I can ensure you wont find the full video looking on his channel.
Yep. It really is the worst year for Hearthstone. First Ben Brode, then Hamilton Chu, and now Yong Woo. Add that with the cancerous cards that have been printed, and the added greed with stuff like locking a hero portrait behind an $80 preorder, and things are not looking good at all for the game.
I wish Yong Woo and the rest the best of luck at Second Dinner, and look forward to what amazing experiences they bring us there.
"locking a hero portrait behind an $80 preorder", huh ...
That reminds me of ruthless companies like McDonalds, which act in a similar manner when locking toys behind food purchases and on top of that they are evil enough to call it "happy meal". Is there no limit to their malevolence? ... Things are not looking good at all for the world. :O
