But what happends if i play him and after that i add new minions behind him? will that remove his shield and taunt?

As for the explanation so you won't have to ask similar questions in the future: His effect is a battlecry meaning that once it has resolved it can't be undone.

This card could be very good. But yeah i agree that tar creeper is a serious contender.
With a coin on turn 2 this card nearly 100% negates anything your opponent plays, Except maybe priest hard removal and shaman devolve. Tar creeper can always be countered with a weapon or buff but divine shield makes this really solid.
Problem really is that if you have a board the card sorta sux and tar creeper really shines when protecting your other minions. So yeah it's really situational.. If you play from behind this card is great but if you have a board this card is dead weight.
This is usually worse than Tar Creeper, but could be preferable in slow decks such as razakus priest who just want to play the delay game. On turn 3 aggro decks will generally not have a 4 attack minion, they will have multiple 2-3 attack ones. This means Lone Champion can often eat up 3 hits (divine shield plus 2 to kill) instead of the 2 hits it takes to remove Tar Creeper. It also trades better on offense, and if left alone you can use the divine shield hit to help value trade as well.
Maybe, but you can play both (as I do), so really it doesn´t have to be competition. Often I got both on hand and decide which one is better fit for the situation.
Personally I am very optimistic about this card because not only is it a supposed taunt/divine shield minion but it is available to all classes. These types of cards are normally limited to classes like Paladin or Priest... But as a Hunter player I am thrilled to try this guy out in my Control Hunter deck I've been developing. If your deck has a slow progression, or just non-aggro, then being able to activate the ability isn't really that hard.
Based on the statistics it looks like Hunter is the class that uses this card the most, which I say "Hell yeah!".

I said "Dust it" simply because I never see this being played over Tar Creeper. It's not a bad card by any means, there's just no reason to ever play it unless you have Divine Shield buffs.
To be honest it doesn't have to be played over Tar Creeper so they can just be played together. If TarTar gets JarJar-ed then CharChar will De-FarFar. Ya underStar?

I like this design better than Tar Creeper, despite it not being as powerful. The restriction on the bonus means that you can't just throw this out to protect your already large board - it's more strictly a defensive tool.
This is a meta defining card. In a lot of ways that annoy-o-tron changed how decks assembled the cards, lone champion will force aggro and tempo decks to have a plan to combat it.
There is a reason this card has a conditional ability on it, if it was guaranteed then this card would be too strong.
This card is as big as Tar Creeper. It will be played in most mid-range and control decks when aggro is popular in the meta.
