Pretty good arena cards, not so much for constructed.
these all seem really good with Lady in White
I tried making a list, only Swift Messenger sorta makes the cut but even then it's hanging kinda loose. Problem with lady in white deck is the 50% of the time it's in bottom half of the deck, and even when you draw it, it only affects minions in deck. Not in hand!
So whenever you add a card to the deck you gotta do it knowing it's more likely it won't receive the Lady in White effect. Not sure on the exact statistic but in estimation 55-70% of the time you draw this it will NOT be a 6/6!
PS: I get that you want to mulligan for Lady in White but you can't do that vs aggro and to some extent you might need to mulligan for curve over lady vs mid/control as well depending on the matchup. Can't beat OTK lists if you do nothing for the first 4 turns for example.
Swift messenger with Jungle Giants?
Don't know him, but can easily imagine the poor guy at Shacknews beginning his video : "Hey guys, how's it going ! I'm really hyped to announce you today that I got an awesome CARD FILLER reveal to show you!! Yay !!"
A lady in white doesn’t care about the switch. 8/8 with Rush. 2 mana 4/4 with spellpower.
Mmmh maybe
Don't know what to think about Gilnean Royal Guard, pretty expensive card... sure it's good with Lady in White, but a lot of times you'll draw her after, and you probably want to play an 8/3 divine shield rush, but 50% of the times it will be a 3/8, so there are a lot of "ifs" envolved.
Yeah maybe... Still it's already an 8 mana card, you need 9 mana to also inner fire, there goes your turn. But who knows, time will tell if it's good enough =)
9 mana 8/8 deal 8 damage is a pretty darn good turn 9. It's Rag + 1 mana to control where he hits.
Because in the end all games depend upon drawing cards. And an 8/8 rush with divine shield might not go face but is great removal and a bug oressence in the board. It doesn't have the synergy like a 7/7 conditional charge but I think it will be able to sustain you in a control kind of deck. Commander is often used as a removal as well in arena and this costs 2 more for 4 attack which clears a lot more an leaves a better body. And though commander hasn't been in the meta like forever does still give you an idea about the potential increase in powerlevel of this card. It kills all 8/8 the opponent has without dying, even with the lower health.
Dalaran Mage cries in the corner
R.I.P. Dalaran Mage
Blizzard made sure to point out that handbuffs help these cards a lot, so it's safe to say that stats don't reset every turn. The Attack and Health get swapped, but buffs aren't removed.
I went looking for good handbuff spells and couldn't find any that weren't rotating out. Yeah, it'll be nice for Wild, I guess.
I'm calling it now, Swift Messenger will see constructed play. The card to compare it against is pre-nerf Keeper of the Grove. Often you'd use the two damage on a small minion and end up with a 2/4. That's more than good enough against aggro. In its other form it's basically a fireball to a minion. The issue will be in how clunky the every-other-turn mechanic is. Both forms are VERY GOOD, but it's possible being unable to choose the one you need on the turn you need it will counter the flexibility.
The middle card is the worst. At 8-mana, I'm not sure if it will ever be more OK than the OK picks that appear next to it with the new Arena system. Spellshifter might be a better budget replacement for Bloodmage Thalnos than Kobold Geomancer, but no one is excited about that, even budget players.
