You can get a much better collection tracker than Innkeeper ever was. And it's only extra functionality added to Hearthstone Deck Tracker. To me it is much better because it also recognizes which region you are currently logged on, also deck tracker site is not that much filled with troll made decks as Heathpwn sadly is.

Where is Innkeeper promoted? Yes, there is still the link in the header bar that could be removed or the Innkeeper page could maybe get a note or something. But that's about it.
Updating it is currently low on the list as it requires capacity that is not available. THAT you can gather from pretty much every forum post about Innkeeper not working.
So yes, it's not working and it's unfortunate but post your salt in the salt thread or something?

I mean you literally called the problem out. Weird it's only on the front page of a news paper like PFFFT who would even look at that and think thats legit right LOL what a loser he must be for thinking a website full of decks that he hasn't used in 5 years and advertising a working link would actually work... what a loser LOLOLOLL. That's what you sound like to me.
You literally argue the point I am making. Remove it from the header. And list it as not working.

Does anyone actually do that, though?
I assume these monthly reminders from single-post burner accounts are all the same person.
You do realise theres more then 1 person in the world right? Literally 100's of millions of people that log in here and there and when this site becomes a top google link - shock horror they end up here and download an advertised working program that can go through their own account and recommend a deck?
No dude I haven't played since 2018 and I come to this website and I see an ADVERTISED (on their own site as above) program. And I spend ages only to EVENTUALLY goto the forums which I frequently avoid because of **** witts trolling and posting LOLOLLOLOL comments as you both do. And thats why most people avoid forums FYI and would rather google forever and a day. The site is misleading, it shouldn't be hard to put a simple line of code into the website and say its not working.
But thanks you where both super helpful. <3 Lovedddddd the feedback..... Keep it up. Exactly the dumb comments I expect to see on every forum ever.
I mean, he’s right something which isn’t working should be removed, why do you feel the need to be aggravating about it?
As it stand, 70% of people think so too, so you know…
And the ‘1 post wonder’ comes across as a bit dumb to use a euphemism. Why can’t a single message on a forum be as relevant as someone else’s 1000th message? What kind of made up metric is that?

Yes, removing the button or putting up a note would be a temporary solution - but that has been suggested in pretty much every other thread on the topic in the past years.
I'm of the opinion that every post is as valid as the next one - if there is genuine effort put into it. What do we have here? It starts with an all caps title, it has a pointless poll including the accusatory option, the post is full of wrong statements (the app is just there, no encouragement - especially not in any forum post), asking for upvotes (as if that will do anything), "spending an hour trying to figure it out" (googling "hearthpwn innkeeper not working" and reading any of the posts takes 30 seconds). So yeah, I think it's a low effort rant better suited for the salt thread.

I mean maybe there is something lost in translation here but Hearthpwn isn't a newspaper and Innkeeper isn't promoted or encouraged like you claim in your OP "in many of the forum posts". There is no popup, there is no link in any post, there is nothing in the news posts. It is ONLY the the header bar and if you read the rest of my post, there is no plan to update the app or the header bar.
If you think you are a loser, then who am I to convince you otherwise? If the shoe fits... I mean your first post after coming back is this low effort post and then you go off when comments do agree with you.
I don't think the link should be removed, it should stay as a reminder of what needs to be fixed ASAP.
I too took a break for about 4-5 years, came back and wasted some time trying to install it but that's not even the issue. The issue for me is how is it even possible that such a simple app can't be fixed in over 5 years.
As for the link itself, maybe there should be a disclaimer on the download page or something. But I wouldn't even focus on that, instead of urging the devs to fix the app.
It makes no sense to me why a link should be kept up if whatever is downloaded doesn’t work. I’d like to think most people think that way. Generally speaking, something which doesn’t work isn’t made available to the public. I realise some people might not mind wasting time downloading something which doesn’t work but most people clearly do.
Remove link, fix app, restaure link. Problem solved.
Anyway, I deleted app files and dont see it in installed programs list. I hope it did not leae any malicious content.
What a bad example of a community app.
Why would it have malicious content in the first place? It's just outdated and broken because Blizz changed things in the background.
How is this a bad example for a community app? I pretty sure you can find old apps for any long running game that are outdated and won't work any more.
Because some tool who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground fucked with something he doesn't understand, and now is throwing accusations around to try and make it seem like he's not the problem.
I wanted to uninstall but I could not. This is the first time this happens to me. And I use computrs since 1993.
Since I could not uninstall it easily, I am right to suspect that there can be something wrong.
But I got my lesson. Such unsafe apps should not be installed in the first place.
It's not unsafe. Where do you get that from?
I also just went through the process you claimed to have done: downloaded it, installed it, failed to log in, uninstalled it from Control Panel -> Programs. It deleted almost everything it had created in local AppData. No issues. This is on Win10.
While I haven't been using computers as long, I have come across plenty of programs that were pretty much just auto extracts that wouldn't even register.
It was found in installed programs. Since I could not uninstall from there, this brings to mind that it may be unsafe. I didn't say it *is* unsafe, but may be.
If others can remove without problem, this may be an issue with my own Windows 10, but never happened before.
I don't have bad feelings about Hearthpwn, I like it a lot, use it a lot when I am playing the game, will continue to do so. But this experience frustrated me.

... you're a special kind of high if you think there's "100s of millions of people" who check out this website.
I'd be impressed if it was 10 thousand...
But you go on being a 1 post wonder about a problem that isn't a problem for anyone with an IQ above room temperature...

Please fix I wanna try this thing so much. lol
Please help! I installed innkeper, it does not work.
But when I try to uninstall the app, it asks "how do you want to open this file?"
I have to choose something. When I choose Notepad, it displays a log file, and that's it! The app does not get uninstalled.
Is this some kind of virus? I am very frustrated. Please help me uninstall this.
Its just on the website, says install?
Go to Deck list https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks?filter-show-standard=1&filter-show-constructed-only=y&filter-deck-tag=1
Click on "Dust Needed" (My card list are not uploaded so I see "??"
It takes you to innkeeper: https://www.innkeeper.com/

The ultimate solution seems very simple.
They should load it to git and let player to contribute
It was so nice to see new decks and choose one by how much it will cost you to create
I'm not a pro, liked it more than hs tracker
