Also this comment makes no sense now. Since it has been confirmed that the Priest Spellstone is actually rare, and that the community team messed up :D
God job team, we succesfully fixed this nonsense :p
I feel like rogue and paladin got the most uncomfortable requirements for spellstones..
Firebat's Dino Priest Will be able to do up to 28 burst with one spellstone, yeesh.
Except it says 4 different friendly minions
If the same minion has died 4 times it can summon 4 of them. if you barnes one and it dies, resurrect it and it dies, summon a 5/5 one and it dies, resurrect it and it dies, the spellstone will summon 4. Then you play a second spellstone and it will summon 4 more. But then again, 1 of the summons will probably be barnes...but honestly since only 1 barnes died, you will have a 20% chance on first summon, 25% chance on second summon, 33% chance on 3rd summon and 50% chance on final summon to get barnes. You are guaranteed at least 3 good minions. Then on the second spellstone you could get 2 barnes if your first spellstone summoned one. Shadow visions a 3rd one and you could get the ultimate low roll of 4 barnes lol
N'zoth Rogue hasn't been around since WOTOG... And the outcome isnt even that great... Hopefully i'll end up delightfully wrong but...
Blizz I thought you were done screwing with Rogue :/
I mean rogue has already has gotten some good cards this expansion, getting one not great card does not mean their screwed lol
It does when the main expansion card is just bad. Valeera isnt good this isnt good. I know they got other but it really sucks to have a lack of win condition. It the same deck every expansion and it just run at your face.
Interesting cards. Deathrattle Rogue, Resurrect Priest, and Secret Hunter...
Hunter seems the easiest to achieve. 1 secret for each upgrade from what I understand.
I really love these surprise reveals along with scheduled ones
You can kinda guess when they will do the surprise reveals. Just look at the times. If there is a high gap in reveals that usually has something, that's when they do it.
Lesser Emerald Spellstone: Looks good on paper, but is probably bad because of the lack of healing and card draw in Secret Hunter, something that this card does nothing to help.
Lesser Onyx Spellstone: Probably bad. This is actually a pretty hard condition to fulfill and the reward is not worth it due to the already prevalent tempo removal in Rogue.
Lesser Diamond Spellstone: Great for Big Priest. Big Priest's main weaknesses are aggro decks and decks that can run it out of steam by removing all of its threats. This card makes that much more difficult, you can hold it in your hand for a while and get some crazy value resurrections. Now that Big Priest has a 7 mana "Silence and Destroy all minions" I'm scared about its prevalence in the new meta.
Man so much buildup in the video for the Rogue spellstone.. a brand new archetype!?!?
Nope.
Play a few deathrattles to get some removal that you probably don't even need a 2-of and that you wouldn't usually run in a minion based deck (which is what a deathrattle rogue would be). Bit disappointed by that one. However what could make a archetype viable is the hunter spellstone! I'm ready for J4ckieChan to go crazy with secret hunter ^^
It’s important to note the priest spellstone says ‘different’ so you gotta have multiple things die to get the effect. Which makes it a very expensive revive if you haven’t gotten several large minions killed.
Rogue one seems hard to upgrade but good hard removal vs big decks.
Hunter seems a very solid spellstone and maybe fits into some sort of big hunter. However it doesn’t help the hunter control early on which is what they really need. Wish wolves had taunt.
But if you play this after barnes you will atleast get 2, and one of them will be worth more than 7 mana anyways. Plus in big priest it is really easy to upgrade.
Worst case: on turn 7 you summon a 8-10 cost minion.
Normal case: Plus with Y'Shaarj, its pretty reliant to get out 2 minions+ by turn 7, either from barnes of from Shadow Essence.
I think this card improves the consistency of the deck and will therefore see play... but we will see, I don't have too much experience with big priest so I could be wrong
Bigger priest is coming
C'mon why does the Rogue one need to suck so badly? It's the worst Spellstone by a large margin.... Even though it says "Deathrattle cards" not "minions" maybe that means the legendary weapon will be a Deathrattle one?
Rogue has been super prevalent in the meta the past 2 expansions. It's time for rogue to take a bit of a backseat.
