Might be an OK card, but compared to other recruit cards, it seems to be utter garbage, no?
Gotta check that...(be prepared for an edited post^^)
the effect is good but the body is not worth it unless you play some kind of control deck there you have heavy or strong demons in your deck which is only as highest stats like Voidlord, the cost and the body is weird.
it reminds me of Twilight Summoner that costs more mana and has more stats, but summons a RNG minion from your own deck
it might will be seen in few plays but not in all
Big demon warlock and then this makes a perfect target for Unwilling Sacrifice. Just remember that he is also perfect target for Potion of Madness
feel bad for that poor soul who had to reveal this utter garbage.
My point is that the power of their effects are comparable
Those small differences aren't really enough to alleviate the -1/-2 in stats and +1 to cost
Hand is actually better most of the time since you can get rid of the small minions and keep the bigger ones while what happens with your deck is beyond your control
4 mana wouldve been perfect, still not great but kinda viable
A 2/2 for 5 with a Deathrattle that could easily summon a 0/1 imp? Mm... first blush says, “nope.” To make him viable, he needs to summon something that costs at least 3. To give him value, you really need something bigger (especially since he’s a Deathrattle, so he’s inherently slow). What do the numbers say?
So... about a 50% chance of getting something good, 25% of getting something bad, and 25% of breaking even, and that doesn’t count if the demon just isn’t situational (I’m looking at the Howlfiend here as a good example of a demon you don’t want in just any deck). All in all, I can’t see this fellow seeing much play in Standard. How about Wild?
The figures look about the same, with a little more skewing toward the little guys. Not certain I like those odds.
The way to use this fellow to get some advantage is in decks that rely on clearing the field on a regular basis. Fortunately, Warlock has plenty of that going for him. Hm... if you focused the deck on that mechanic and rolled good then he could be useful as that makes it so you can invest 5 mana now for a body on the field after a sweep. Tempo is good, but that doesn’t change the fact he’s iffy on what he delivers.
First blush doesn’t look good. Will have to try this idea out to see how viable the theory is. He’s a very expensive Piloted Sky Golem and that card didn’t see much play, so I’m not optimistic.
recruit summons a minion from your deck so you could trade it off get a doom guard ...................... making it a very strong card. its a cheaper pioleted sky golem which you can manipulate the death rattle .
Why would you put a blood imp in your deck with this guy? He recruits (pulls out) a demon from your deck, not summon a random demon.
the problem here is you're accounting for ALL demons, not just the playable/good ones. no one's gonna run blood imp.
It would've been completely fucking ridiculous if it was a battlecry, so no
Is recruit random or do you get like adapt 3 choices??
random.
summon a minion from your deck so the old gods card will basically say recruit a minion at the end of your turn :)
