The hero power tells you what he is. Transmute Spirit. To transmute, turning things into its closest element in old alchemy. Or changing something with magic. His minions are spirits, and he's using the power given by the Lich King to change his spectral armies into more powerful versions. One or two mana more, the closest minion to the one you quest had. Thus transmutation.
Not to mention the Lich King is far more than capable of granting powers other than the generic specs. They exist only for game reasons. The army of the Scourge has always been composed of various talents and magic.
Thralldouken!!!!
Imagine the potential of SMOrc! Turn 10 in Wild: Brann Bronzebeard + Thrall, Deathseer = Confessor Paletress, followed by Transmute Spirit = Ragnaros the Firelord + King Krush.
Death Knight Jaina seems to have the freeze aspect covered. At least after the linear flop of MSoG, it's been nice seeing each class have multiple avenues of attack, ie. the current shaman tokens vs. elementals. Some are certainly more viable than others :)
My guess is each legendary and Death Knight will give the class two distinct "flavors" for the expansion. Moorabi lends to a freeze shaman whereas DK Thrall is more token/evolve. Either way I'm stoked, just have to figure out which to craft first!
I hope they move Bloodlust to Hall of Fame so that people won't hate this card. This can be a really good control card rather than promoting aggro. I will definitely create a control/midrange evolve shaman with Moat Lurker. Turning powerful battlecry minions to something else, evolving and fully healing your minions means this is a great control tool.
Shamanstone has been here for years, my child
where were you in Karazhan and MSoG? Shaman was everywhere
and now the Meta is a little balanced that's why you don't see Shaman as much, but Token Shaman is tier 1 now
It's Thrall SSJ2
This card seems like mass value, however you would want to avoid playing this on 3 mana cost minions. Doppelgangster Faceless Manipulator Starving Buzzard Bomb Squad e.g
Edit: Scratch that. The ratios of good to bad cards are quite close on all levels, let the RNGesus take the wheel.
May look weak BUT... imagine you drop Jade Spirit with a 2/2 Jade Golem and they survive for the following turn, suddenly you turn them into 6 and 4 cost minions. That's pretty good and not even hard to do. I can see this been played in heavy minion based Shaman decks that try to go to late game, such as Jade or Elemental Shaman
this card will be in every shaman deck
Except my N'zoth Shaman! Really bummed, I guess I'll stick with charged hammer.
Totally going to craft this for my token shaman though.
you can still play it with doppelgangster -.- preeeety gooooood
Evolve Shaman x Evolve Shaman BrokeBack
Even more ways to get Tirion
This card seems insane. I can't see a shaman deck that this wouldn't easily fit into. I'm excited to use it but I want some of the underplayed classes from Un'Goro to come back.
finally another RNG Clownfiesta Card....
Evolution Shaman is cool. I liked it. And it'll work great with both jades and elementals because a battle cry minion usually has low stats for its cost.
Explain battlecry please. Tranform minions on the board? or hand? or deck?
