This DK Thrall looks great, amazing art. But DK Jaina's art sucks. They should change the DK Jaina's art
I disagree about Jaina's art. She looks cunning, manipulative, and cold hearted.
Jaina's trailer art just looks crazy and a bit weak imo.
I'm disappointed that it's such a 1-dimensional card, compared to the other heroes so far. Not only that, it doesn't go at all with any of the freezing stuff they're getting this expansion. That would've been so much... cooler.
Well in the same way that the quests and legendaries of Un'Goro were supposed to support two different archetypes (lol Warlock), The deathknights and legendaries seem to be the same.
I can see that. On the other hand, Shamans had 1 class card that freezes anything, and this expansion is trying to push that as a new theme/decktype. Giving Deathseer some kind of power to bring a freeze deck together would've been the best thing.
Also, as for which type of Death Knight Thrall is supposed to be, it would answer that question too.
This entire time i thought this costed 9 mana like the rest of the DK's but know that i know it's 5 mana it's pretty broken especially in Wild format. Only thing you do is play your standard ultra aggressive Face Shaman and Turn 5 game over.
You'd think that, naturally, but Face Shaman relies on minions that are either above curve already (Totem Golem, Flamewreathed Faceless) or cards that buff themselves or other cards (Tunnel Trogg, Flametongue Totem). Evolving these cards into baseline cards that don't get their battlecry will have as much chance of making them weaker as it does to improve them.
At Team 5's studio:
"So, Ben, you know how we've designed Shaman to be aaaaall about freezing this expansion, right? Got that cool cloning legendary and all that?"
"Yeah, real good job on that, guys! Always nice to give new playstyles to people! What's up about it?"
"Ok, so, we got this awesome idea for the Shaman hero. Now, get this. You go around freezing everything on board, get great benefits from doing so, but now you still need something to reeaaaally bind everything together. So, how about, sit tight, this is gonna be sweet! How about we MAKE THE SHAMAN HERO EVOLVE EVERYTHING TWICE? Hah? HAH?! That's an awesome, synergistic and coherent idea, right Benny-boy?!"
"Oh my god, you are SO underpaid! Print it, lads! We got ourselves a class theme!"
I think it will get a whole lot of nerfed as well lol
Hmmm.... so will Brann Bronzebeard trigger even though he'll evolve with the Death Knight's battlecry? That would just be fun as fuck in Wild!
Yes: even if he's the target of an Evolve, it'll play out.
yes
and YES!!!
turn 10 Brann Bronzebeard + Murloc Tidehunter or Bilefin Tidehunter for the 7 and 6 mana minions
or if it is discounted with Emperor Thaurissan you play Doppelgangster with it for the 9 mana drops
I'm so doing it
Now we're talking! I mean, it's not a reliable way to win games, but if you aren't at least partially playing Hearthstone to set up crazy shit like this, than you're not really enjoying life!
Do all Death Knights give 5 armor?
im from the future.......yes...they do
Has strong synergy with making your opponent concede.
Is not gonna be meta-defining, but is really good, and not in token shaman, it works really good in slower decks because the HP now full heal your minions, the HP is happier to see a damaged Primordial Drake than a Doppelgangster, also Thrall, Deathseer is still happy to see the survivors of the Doppelgangster-Evolve combo, and with so many good taunts that's not a win more card anymore but is more defensive than Evolve and Bloodlust, after all, the minions probably will not attack after the buff, so I don't see this in token shaman, full Jade, midrange, full evolve or control shaman maybe.
PS: I put token and no token-evolve because all decks with this are going to be called evolve
Stupidly expecting this to be necessary in an Evolve Deck aside, you know what a "Budget Deck" is, right?
