You can deal 22 or 24 dmg with the adapts alone. 44 and 48 with Blessed Champion.
+3atk. +3atk, +1/+1, stealth, windfury = 12/6 = 24dmg (survives felfire and dragonfire potion)
+3atk, +3atk, stealth, windfury, divine shield = 11/5 = 22dmg (survives anything except Doom! and Twisting Nether Edit: and Devolve)
But you cant choose same "adapt" twice. Or no?
according to my understanding of the hearthhead article linked with the reveal is yes, you are presented with the same option multiple times.
Rip Paladin's quest... If buffing minions from hand didn't work, how do you expect buffing minions on board will work? Adding spells to your deck is also anti-synergy with handbuff mechanic.
Paladins would need Lost in the Jungle and Blessing of Wisdom. Both to make sure there is a minion to buff and not to run out of cards. Or they could really use a buff spell that also draws a card. This is the hardest quest to do yet unless you are in wild with spare parts. Lets hope we get good buff spells.
What are you talking about? Of course nobody's going to run both hand buffs and minion buffs at the same time, they don't go together. Hand buffing is a failed mechanic, Blizzard has accepted it and moved on and so should you. Maybe this one will fail too (after all, the twins from TGT did fail) but the two aren't related in any way.
Exactly, nobody is going to run hand and board buffs because Blizzard don't know what to do with Paladins. They are a whole expansion behind unless that card that "loves hand buffs" they mentioned is super good.
Where are your Spare Parts now??!
inc cheap minion with add a copy of spells you cast on this minion to your hand. or discover 2 or 1 buff cards minion
Need 10 or more buff spell in deck...
Blizzard, this games deck is 30 cards , 30 cards
If you were really desperate you could kill one of your own minions with Hammer of Wrath or use those really shitty cheap 1 mana spells like Blessing of Wisdom but unless they provide more consistent minion buffs, this will be a very tryhard, lose more deck :/
Also expect more roping and rushed plays when playing Galvadon xD ppl took long to decide about a normal card from discover effects, 5x Adapt is gonna take forever to choose x_x
Make [card]Ironbeak Owl[/card] great again
Except that you can't target him with Dinosize because it's a spell.
i dont know why people are so pressed on liquid membrane stealth is just as good as galv is gonna be a otk card any thing that can kill it with membrane can kill it in stealth any way
Stealth is better actually, no battlecries from minions could target it either. But yes, Liquid membrane is useless if you're playing it as an OTK minion.
Right now, this is not the best quest for paladin since paladin has almost no good early game minions, and, compared to the paladin buff card pool, there is not a lot of buffs that are actually used in competitive play. But, as I was seeing cards like Lightfused Stegodon and Lost in the Jungle, there may be more cards coming out that buffs silver hand recruits. This may seem somewhat unlikely, but if there are more buff spell that is somewhat overpowered with silver hand recruits, it could be a viable buff paladin deck. You summon a minion or spell that summons silver hand recruits, then you use a spell that buffs these silver hand recruits. This SHR deck could be competitive; it is strong early game which requires your opponents to use board effect, then you can use Galvadon to finish the game.
The only way this quest works is if the following happens:
Paladins run 6-8 buff cards cause let's be serious: Paladin buff cards have not been played in forever and the quest forcing paladins to play buffs isn't going to magically make up for the fact that buff cards overall are trash. Fitting in just kings is painful enough, so fitting in another 4-6 buff cards is going to drop the quality of your deck into nothing; never mind if you try to fit in something stupid like 12 or more buff cards.
The meta slows down enough to let a Paladin run through his whole deck to land the 6 buffs required, and has enough health to not die from aggro, a faster combo attack.
The opponent not having a board wipe when you do finally complete the quest.
===
Though I guess people can just meme it, and run a deck that's nothing but buff cards; run out Galvadon on turn 5 and hope the other guy can't counter whatever is adapted and win on turn 6 like 30% when all the stars align.
at least I will be happy choosing the five adapt while hoping that there's no Mass Dispel, Devolve, etc coming :D
people are over reacting the card is good ,if you adapt for 3 health and get a taunt divine shield, poisonous ,and can't be targeted by spells it would be crazy ,I mean the only thing that can remove it is random spell or kazakas all sheep spell , its not that great but its not that bad ,i think we need to see it in action ,it might surprise.
Paladin got such garbage in Mean Streets and Un'Goro you just know Blizzard is going to give them insane stuff in a couple more expansions to make up for it. Paladin OP by the end of the year.
