This again. You complain about bad matchups because you have encountered 4 Mechathun decks, but you don't even mention you encountered 12 (!!) Odd Rogues, which is you best matcup.
Of course you have done zero statistical analysis to see whether these rates are actually unusual or totally expected based on random variance. You're mainly basing your conclusion on the part where you have very little data. Very little data is not the amount of data you want to base conclusions on if you are serious about finding the truth.
Lastly you played the one deck first and the other deck second. It is totally possible, even expected, that the meta shifted slightly during that time, so your data collection is seriously flawed.
The better explanation for the feeling that you get matched up badly is just that you remember the bad matchups better, since they cause a feeling of frustration. Also as I mentioned before, looking at the whole picture you were not matched up badly at all.
Maybe this was a bit harsh, at least you collected data instead of just reporting a feeling, but the 28 games you based your main conclusion on is just not enough by a long shot. If anything your data shows that as you gather more data about certain matchups the weird effects go away, as shown in the fact that your first table looks quite normal.
It's NOT a 60% win rate deck. You need to look at Vicious Syndicate. Its in the 53 to 54% range regardless of rank. Good deck? Yes. Can it be countered. Yes? Does it need a nerf? NO.
What makes Vicious Syndicate better than HSReplay?
one way is that hsreplay is a much longer timeframe by default. If you pay then the data becomes very reliable, else you could be viewing stuff from like day 1 of expansion and stuff. Vicious syndicate is just 1 week at a time or maybe 2
Where is everyone looking? If you check https://hsreplay.net/meta/ you will see that it is set at last 7 days if you don't pay, so the timeframe for VS is as long or even longer. Also the highest deck is at 56.47%, not several decks at 60% which some people claim in this topic.
At the end I think it is a bit skewed because it takes data from people using a deck tracker and maybe those people have a higher win rate than people playing without a deck tracker, because they play a bit more serious. But hsreplay has a lot more data to work with than VS.
In the end I think you're best of using a bit of both. I think a big disadvantage of hsreplay is not being able to see data for certain ranks without paying, but I think people are hating a bit unfairly on hsreplay in this topic.
On topic: Odd paladin is a strong deck, maybe the best on the ladder right now. But nerfing every strong deck is a neverending story and a bad idea.
I did it! Got to Legend for the first time with Odd Paladin! Ladder anxiety was kind of frustrating and I had to force myself to play some arena or do something else when I got tilted, but eventually I made it.
I found it interesting how small improvements in play can really add up over the amount of games required to get to Legend. For example I used to play a 3-drop on turn 3 a lot, which seems obvious. But it turns out it is often stronger to play a 1-drop + heropower. Also knowing the meta was really important and rewarding because playing around board clears is really important with this deck.
All in all it was a fun experience and I'm curious to see how high in Legend I can get this month seeing as there is still quite a bit of time.
You say you get the accounts to level 20 by conceding vs them with your main account, might it be possible that Blizzard views this as abuse of the system and does not reward the hero because of that?
These all sound really interesting. If these things turn out to be more important than the Recruit keyword we might have a very interesting expansion coming.

At least you waited to post this until the expansion came out. Next time see if you can wait until the meta has settled.

So what do the steroids do? Make it more expensive?

This sounds really. When will the actual tournament take place? Is there a set date for it?
