elbows, AceDStone, anyways before the change I'd had 5-7k gold pretty much always by just completing all daily quests, but now I can't even afford tavern pass at launch. (without spending any money on the game in any version.) And since I can't afford 50 packs every expansion now, I'm no longer playing ranked - which has further reduced it.
@dog_since_early_2000s it's connected to achievements, so if you're playing very little you're getting achievements just for pressing buttons and it spams you with gold for a while, but it's gonna be less than before in the long term.
I'd replaced some other cards, added Librams and other secrets and an Aldor Attendant to reduce libram cost and Platebreaker, none of them were drawn for the win.
Zzeraku discovered with historian has won the game for me - Lich has killed himself pretty much, by spawning 4-6 of 6/6 drakes in the sword stage and one turn after, trying to kill me, but I've just cleared the board with the drakes and played Alexstrasza to heal myself to 15. Playing Platebreaker helped to end it quickly as I've ended up with 30+ dmg on board.
Won with this deck. Ideal start would be to draw 1-2 motlens, hypenas, fledglings and have some sacrificial 1/1 beasts on board. Moltens are essentially a 0 cost Obliterate removal, then it's just about getting lucky with windfury, first couple of games haven't gotten any from like 12 face hits. In my winning game he coined a blizzard from 5 mana, but it didn't matter. idk if there's much point in continuing if you haven't won by the sword time, I'd just restart.
nah, this just means that win streaks of a lucky player or a cheese deck for a certain rank are getting shut down by a more experienced/smarter player/better deck more often, so you won't climb as fast. It supposed to bracket players better and reduce opponent waiting time.
I don't have Simulacrum so I've used Duplicate instead (just play the Sorcerer's Apprentice early with the secret to get 2); then I used Emperor Thaurissan while having in hand: 2 Sorcerer's Apprentice+Molten Reflection+Archmage Antonidas reducing their cost once to 1m+1m+6m+1m=9m total giving -3mana for spells, when played in one turn; played a 0 cost Research Project - which gave me another Molten Reflection - this was another +1m = 10m total spent with -4m for spells = exodia assembled with 3 cards left in the deck. It had taken me ~10 tries, you just need to get that perfect combo, but it's possible with this deck.

I remember sitting on 7k gold with the old quest system, now I'll be barely able to afford the battlegrounds pass lol

like hsreplay has, would simplify finding usable decks

Fairly relaxed win. Didn't have Dragon's Pack, replaced it with another Rain of Toads.

Took a lot of tries. The winning combo (before the sword stage) was: early game 2x Young Dragonhawk on board, Hand of A'dal, Hand of Protection, Mysterious Blade, 2x Blessing of Kings, Blessing of Might, 1x Blessing of Wisdom (later turns).
I'd replaced some other cards, added Librams and other secrets and an Aldor Attendant to reduce libram cost and Platebreaker, none of them were drawn for the win.

First try. Emerald discovered a Sleepy Dragon, which soaked the sword stage damage, while the 2/6 suicide'd into Winged Guardian.

Didn't have Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, Siamat, Dragonblight Cultist, replaced them with Netherspite Historian, Bone Drake, Shield of Galakrond. Add Zzeraku the Warped, if you have it - it's a high value card for this run.

Replaced 1 Breath of the Infinite, 1 Mass Resurrection, Kul Tiran Chaplain with Psyche Split, Activate the Obelisk, Grave Rune all are high value - Psyche and Rune help with making sure you are getting correct duplicates (in the mid game - Convincing Infiltrator or Khartut Defender, in the late game - Catrina Muerte) Obelisk helps with the late game damage to Lich by buffing units.
One of the easier fights.

Last month plat 1, now plat 6.

presidentdennyou have to be playing random cards to be sub 4k imo, but assuming the spread is the same as for standard, I'd say
75% are <5k
17.5% are 5k- sub 7k
5.5% 7k- sub 8k
2% 8k- sub 9k
0.5% 9k+
this is as of now, as the numbers are inflating, for example the top 200 near release were sub 8k-9k, but it's 10k-13k now
assuming 10m players are playing battlegrounds the top 200 are in the 0,00002%

easier against Rafaam (the green wing)

dragonslayer goes from impossible to really easy with this
