Quote from AntonydusWurm >>nzoth must really like a broom (hint hint, cough cough)
I had this thought as well, actually. but this raises the question:
Why not keep N'Zoth, God of the Deep at 10 mana and just... give the minions Rush?
In terms of the nerfs we did get, I'm mostly disappointed because the Paladin hits absolutely thrashed my Even Paladin deck. First Day of School was great for rounding out my curve and getting my Call to Arms through Counterspell. And poor Crabrider was the best Windfury minion that Corpsetaker had access to...
Oh well! I'm having fun with Even Hunter too.
I will say that Mage, perhaps, needed a little something more than a slap on the wrist. At least slap both wrists...
Or the dominant wrist a la Incanter's Flow. Silly wrist metaphor aside, Sorcerer's Apprentice and Flamewaker perhaps should have been tickled even a little bit.

There is a slight benefit to players, I think - provided you can purchase Runestones on the online blizz store, you can do foreign currency purchases on everything that uses runestones.
Right now, foreign currency purchases aren't available on in-game shop bundles that don't appear in the blizz store.

The way modern freemium economy games tend to work, there's not a lot of difference between a 'whale' and a long standing FTP (or low spender) in terms of resources accumulated.
Someone who's played regularly for several years will have accumulated packs/gold/dust over time, which translates into having whatever decks they want on day 1 of an expansion - no different from a more recent player who spends money.
I've bought at least a cheap pre-order every set and rarely missed a daily/weekly quest or free pack, and hoarded cards. Hardly makes me a whale in terms of spending (probably equivalent to a netflix sub) but getting a recent account to a similar position would require a really uncomfortable amount of money.

I've always found the youtube packs much more prone to random failure than twitch, which let's you track exactly how much time it's logged. With luck, you'll get the packs eventually, but be prepared that they might not arrive. I missed one of the two packs last week for no good reason :(

They do deserve a massive slap for Diablo Immortal, and I really hope they've got all the mobile gouging shite out of their system so that D4 has a faint glimmer of hope of being an actual game.
HS is still pretty cool though, don't torpedo your HS account just yet because you're pissed with Blizz.

Agree in this case they should leave the cards you've seen revealed or identifiable in the UI somehow. A decktracker is a massive help if you've just seen a large hand

Hmm, unlike C'Thun this actually has to sit in hand to get more powerful, so decks planning to use it as a finisher need to make sure to draw it early. Capture Coldtooth Mine is the only way I can think of to make it consistent enough to build around
Feels a lot weaker than just trying to win a long game with Kazakusan - the setup is much lower and Kazakusan is less vulnerable to being sniped by Mutanus, as you don't have to keep your win condition in hand the whole game.

Not that it really matters, but did they break the default portrait for Tyrande et al in Mercenaries?
I selected the new portrait out of curiosity and now shes stuck looking like a priest - telling me I need to get the default portrait from packs.

It is satisfying when you make a jank deck to complete a quest and then accidentally win a couple of ranked games with it

It's even worse than that - dust is much worse than gold, and midway through an expansion most players would much rather keep 100g in the bank rather than open a pack.
So, you're looking at more like 6 wins to break even in terms of real value for 1000g
The rewards are so stacked to the top end it's just not worth thinking about unless you reckon you've got a shot at getting 11 or 12 wins. This compounds the problem even more, as it means that weaker players will be rightfully put off.

Easily the best promo I've ever seen
