user-100041474 posted a message on Dean Ayala Asks: What Would Get You Back Into Hearthstone?Posted in: NewsHonestly: Cheaper cards. The gameplay is fine but what diminishes my fun is the fact that even if you pay money, you will never get a full collection. And I did pay money.
They should sell preconstructed starter decks, also bundles should be purchasable more than once.
In YGO, few people buy single booster packs, everyone buys Tin boxes and Structure decks, and if there is a good staple in a structure deck, you may even buy it twice.
Also Wild packs should be 20% off because it is next to impossible for a new player to get started in the Wild format without paying money.

Truffles20 posted a message on New Card Reveal: Skulking GeistPosted in: Card DiscussionI don't think control needs to worry about Jade druid anymore. Although I have to say is it a little controversial that a single card pretty much deletes an entire deck? This card can also be annoying because there are plenty of other one cost spells that this card hits.
Heck no I am not going to just type all of the 1 cost spells. But some of the cards this guy destroys other than Jade Idol may have some interesting applications.

Twitchy posted a message on There are Nine Tri-Class Cards in Mean Streets of Gadgetzan - Dev Interview w/ Dean AyalaPosted in: NewsSo they wanted to 'change up' handlock because it was getting stale by pretty much killing it's one essential card and giving nothing in return?
Well good job at completely removing handlock from the game. It was one of the most fun to play decks, with a really high skill requirement yet without being op. But i shouldn't complain, at least we got aggro Shaman in return.

SuperAga posted a message on Disciple of C'ThunPosted in: Disciple of C'ThunNo it's not. Argent Horserider is similar, but still very different. Horserider is used in aggro decks to hit face for 2 and be a pain to deal with. This is very easy to deal with after it's played.

Targin posted a message on Dragoncaller AlannaPosted in: Dragoncaller AlannaDr Boom could be BGH for 3 mana or Shadow word death. That's why no one played it him 😎 Every card can be removed. No reason why it's not good. If you play this after Shadowreaper Anduin Razakus has almost no way to clear a board full of 5/5 Dragons. If they decide to hold on to Anduin just for this card it's even better.
Dr. Boom is totally different. It's not the 7/7 what made him so good it was the two additional 1/1 Bombs which could deal 2-8 Face dmg and he was at 7 Mana means at 10 Mana you could use an additional spell atleast. When you play Dragoncaller Alanna you can't do anything else in the same turn.

This is the big heal that the healing class needed, but never got thanks to auchenai combo potential. Who knew that the "friendly" keyword could be so powerful? :O

This is a scary card with a lot of mid-game/late game potential in control decks. It should see one or even two copies being played in most control decks.
In general, this card is good at denying value from battlecry minions (e.g. Elise/Golden Monkey, N'zoth, Justicar, Book Wyrm, Reno, Twilight Drake, Jeweled Scarab, Ivory Knight, Azure Drake, Kazakus, enemy Rat). It can pull out doomsayers that the opponent doesn't want to play, and get a guaranteed board clear on the opponent's turn.
Against aggro: This is a 2 mana 2/6 taunt if they're in topdeck mode or if their board is full. It could be a gamble in the early game.
Against ANY deck in the mid-late game: It makes your board clears more powerful.
Scenario 1: Rat+Pyro+equality, killing an additional threat they've been holding back (like thunderbluff valiant, Rag, Syl, Maly, Arcane Giant)
Scenario 2: Rat+brawl, getting guaranteed value from your brawl. You don't have to brawl if you don't pull an enemy minion
Scenario 3: Hallazeal+rat+eleD/lightning storm: additional healing, and the rat survives the AOE.
Scenario 4: Rat+Dragonfire potion, leaving the rat alive
Against control: Once you've figured out what deck your opponent is playing, you have guesses on what they're holding, and the way they're trying to bait removal. You can try to force pull their win conditions and deal with them.
Rat+entomb, Rat+Syl+Shieldslam (or some other spot removal), Rat+hex

Many people see it. It's just that you have to survive against aggro till then, and that's kinda difficult

That's very good for Miracle style

Someone needs to do the math on this. Cards like totemic might and primal fusion exist in Shaman. Rogue has blade flurry and a bunch of RNG minions. Ethereal peddler is the dream. The 5/3 body is worse than azure drake. A wildcard

Teacher innervate coin pilfered power for a 4 mana ramp on turn 4? Coin, teacher innervate pilfered power on turn 3 with a minion on board? Does it give excess mana when you're at 10 mana? Wisp wisp tinyfin tinyfin innervate pilfered power on turn 1?
The combos seem very specific, for now, and seems like a dead card in most competitive decks

Refreshing the mana crystals itself is a powerful tool. It's a flexible but weaker arcane giant in a spell heavy deck, but could be a powerhouse in a ramp druid deck

This might make ramp druid a thing again, not sure

Like the OP said, this is not a control deck. It's a tempo/board control driven deck in the early game, that turns into a face deck in the mid/late game. You're usually trying to use a good Savage Roar to threaten 1-2 turn lethal or to establish board control.
Druid does it differently from Shaman and Warlock because of the early game ramp. Innervate and Darnassus Aspirant are in the deck because they don't lose tempo. Wild growth and Mire Keeper are bad ramp choices for this deck.
Sir Finley Mrrgglton is a flex card. You look for Life Tap/Fireblast/Steady Shot, depending on the situation. Life Tap helps against control decks once you're out of steam, Fireblast prevents face damage against aggro decks, Steady Shot puts the opponent on a clock.
Savage Combatant allows you to attack while drawing cards with Life Tap. It's more flexible with Fireblast than with Shapeshift, because you can attack two different targets. There's also the small synergy of playing Finley with the combatant already on the board
The new Mukla is a bit slow and understatted for this deck.
The old Mukla is a dead draw in the late game. It is useful for face damage/board control in the early game, though the bananas are bad once you start ignoring the board.

Thijs uses a similar deck with Fandral Staghelm instead of Leeroy Jenkins, and a few other differences. Looks quite inspiring

A good savage roar to push for lethal/close to lethal damage with small/midrange minions
